NoDescription:A match made in heaven; Gelbvieh is a Thornbridge collaboration with Edinburgh’s own Newbarns. Pronounced ‘gel-fee’, Gelbvieh is a Franconian-style Kellerbier, and we simply love a Kellerbier! This is an unfiltered, beautifully-hazy, gold lager with a delicate floral taste and robust bitterness, along with slight hints of strawberry and melon. Wondering where the name comes from? Well, Gelbvieh is the name of a Bavarian breed of cattle, originally hailing from the Franconian region, and incidentally found at both Newbarn’s farm and in the grounds of Thornbridge hall, pretty neat, eh?
