Here is your German lesson for the day-Hefeweizen translates to mean “wheat and yeast,” and our beer takes that to heart. Containing a high percentage of malted wheat and a proprietary yeast strain, we have produced an American version of the classic German specialty. A high level of effervescence and a low level of bitterness make this beer truly refreshing. ABV 5.5% Bitterness 16 IBU. Contract brewed for Costco by the Gordon Biersch Brewing Company under the brewer name Hopfen Und Malz (for the west coast market) and since mid 2009 by Matt Brewing as "New Yorker Brewing Co." (for the east coast market).
