“Large, nice view over the water, crowded. Limited own brews. More a place to eat and for tourists. Not worth visiting when you're having a beer trip. (6-4-2019).“

“Made an order here to satisfy my thirst for Lagers after getting burned out on NEIPA. But don't worry, this webshop offers plenty of craft beer as well. In fact, a large part of the selection constitutes the latest cans of hip hoppy goodness from Europe. Next time I order, I will probably mix it up some more. Free shipping to my country >100 EUR. Arrived as fast as can be expected.“

“BrewDog St. Pauli is located at the entrance of the Reeperbahn, Hamburg. Modern, industrial style with lots of cement, metal and neon-lights. 24 beers on tap, mostely BrewDog, but also some very interesting guest beers. Nice selection of bottles and cas, too. Burgers are very good, prices fair. Smart staff. I like it!“

“**Review is for the Webshop** Really impressed with Beyond Beer. I ordered my beers at 17:59 on Wednesday 29th July and the beer was delivered on Friday 31st July in the morning. It was well packaged and everything was in order, really impressed with them. The website, choice and prices are good, ok I have seen better in each of these particular areas but it works and it works very well. I had 10% voucher sent to me for subscribing to their newsletter which helped, in fact I have nothing negative to say and I will certainly be ordering from them again.“

“Surprising local pub. This is a truly traditional Hamburg Pub, which shows most of the local football games and has a tremendous atmosphere and surprisingly good food. Nothing for the anyone expecting more than a divey local pub for a beer and a great housemans food.“

“A rustic bar, where the finest, home-made beers are served. The brewery is hidden in a backyard in Alsterdorf, from the outside it is very inconspicuous, so you can easily walk past it! Inside it is very authentic with the nano stainless steel brew kit easily located and a few bench style pine tables and chairs plus really great beer served in a friendly welcoming atmosphere. There are 10 different varieties on tap, all costing only €3 for 0,3l glass of probably one of the best beers in Hamburg? No food available, but salt sticks are available on the tables for free. Tasting is encouraged and makes it more enjoyable to get involved in the varietie of styles and tastes. The owner/brew dude and staff are great folks and really make you welcome.“

“A large modern riverside brewpub and resturant. Normally there are 4 beers available 3 regulars and a seasonal. There are four coppers that are nice and shiny in a central location and there is also some old brewery equipment in corners that is quite intresting. This is a great place to eat, their Schweinshaxe is the best in Hamburg? Also their Schnitzel is very tasty, so don't miss it (with a beer or two!). Their portion are big in the evening, but if you go for lunch, you can enjoy a smaller portion of Schnitzel at a cheaper price. It's very crowded in the evening so recomend booking to avoid disapointment. The staff are friendly, but there are not many, so it can take some time to be served. The atmosphere is casual and definitely worth visiting if in the area, as a very good place to see experience German food and people“

“What a nice place for craft beer. A unique tap room in the brewery, not crowded and and a chilled out atmosphere, in a classic industrial building of the pre-war period on the beautiful Wilhelmsburger island park. A bit of interesting taproom history, sitting in a water basin with 30cm thick walls of solid steel (with breakthroughs), which at times when the building was an extension of the waterworks next door, the ventilation of freshly pumped groundwater was used to remove the carbon dioxide contained. It's a cozy place to be, as a couple or in a group of friends. There is always a good selection of their own micro-brewery beers changing guest beers from other craft breweries. The brew dude's are really friendly and helpful and will even share their recipies! Did I mention that there is delicious food to go with the bier's, for example homemade ramen, at very affordable prices. A must do place to visit on a Thursday or Friday when in Wilhelmsburg.“

“A modern hipster cocktail bar in a very trendy location, that has an outside seating area. They have six craft beer taps with the occasional hard to find scoop. Overall a good place for getting a drink in a chill environment with nice staff and cosy atmosphere.“

“An excellent craft beer bar located close to Sternschanze. They boast more than 30 beers on tap 😍 (4 taps for self-service) and additional bottles and cans as well. They have a nice mix of German and import beers and the prices are reasonable. There is a range of beers for beginners and really fine stuff for the real beer geeks! The bar is bright and long with the beers on an illuminated board at the back. There are lots of rugs scattered about the floor and an eclectic mix of seating ranging from tall stools the cosy leather high back chairs although not many places to sit because of the funky interior and the ordering process takes a bit too long during peak hours? But this is a really awesome spot with cool music. It's awesome that the craft beer scene is evolving in Hamburg to support breweries outside of Hamburg! Note it is a cash only bar? Probably the best craft bar in the city.“

“The taproom for Omnipollo (the fanciest gipsy brewery from Sweden) in Hamburg, a bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit. They have 14 taps serving there own and rare guest beers they also do the famed beer smoothie's! (Beware it's very expensive!) It's very colourful, if you like pink 👍 with a atmosphere that is unique, it has a neon lighting style that is interesting to explore the bar in? They only accept card payment which is easy and fast. Tap water is for free. The pizzas are great, even with the unusual toppings. The tap list is like heaven for every craft beer nerd, plus a bartender who is really passionate and does not hesitate to let you try a beer first. Overall: Great beer, great pizza, great people, Pink and expensive.“

“Located at a high altitude in the impressive Elbphilharmonie building, this is an entirely modern, antiseptic bar devoted to the promotion of everything with Störtebeker on it. There are 12 taps, mostly well-known to beer hunters, but I managed to find one that was new to me. Long waiting time for service and not really popular prices. Go there for the stunning view and leave after a pint. Did not try the food but it looked reasonable, though.“

“Taproom direkt neben Erika. Ca10 taps. Eigene und rare Guestbeer. Es gibt ein cooles Bier Smoothie, aber die Preise sind ne Frechheit. 0,2l bis zu 12€?!?!?! Geht leider garnicht.“

“Visited 18/10/2019. Had tried to visit the previous evening but it had closed early, this next day visit was mid afternoon and there were a few people inside but not many. Ordered their sampler flight which was pretty good, as was the pizza I had as late lunch. Attentive service. Worth a wander around inside to see it all. Quite a decent place, though it felt a bit isolated and it’s neighbours give it quite an edge!!“

“Visited 18/10/2019. Big place, in what is quite a seedy street, this visit was on a Friday lunchtime and it was pretty quiet. Went for their taster flight, beers were ok but nothing special. Nice views of the brewing equipment behind the bar. Service was ok, chap doing the brewing was friendly. Bought one of the taster glasses as a souvenir (jokingly said to the barman you must get a lot of these stolen and was told people try but we chase after them - and I can believe that!).“

“Visited 17/10/2019. Nice location by the water but not much of a beer focus. Had a couple of their own on fortunately but not much else and they seemed to play second string to what appeared to be mainly a food destination. Service was pleasant. Nice busy vibe to it but for us it was one beer and off.“

“Visited 17/10/2019. One of the more salubrious places on the Reeperbahn. Typically BrewDog inside. Modern and somewhat stark. Decent service. Good range of beers, boosted on this visit by their collab event. One to check out on the Hamburg tour.“

“Visited 17/10/2019. Absolutely loved this place. My favourite in Hamburg. Situated in a bit of a sketchy area, we turned up not expecting much, a look in through the windows showed it was empty (about 7:30pm Thursday) and quite dimly lit. But it somehow looked inviting, and by coincidence the lady running the place stepped outside for a break from the boredom of having no customers as we turned up so we asked what was on tap and it sounded encouraging so we went in. Small and cosy inside, decent selection of taps (a mix of their own and guests), and a small but very nicely stocked bottle fridge. Our arrival prompted others to come in, and the hour or two we spent there was superb. Great service, lovely vibe, very nice beers. Just an excellent all round visit.“

“Visited 17/10/2019. Very busy (Thursday evening). Managed to find a small table by the kitchen which wasn’t ideal. A little look at the selection available didn’t hugely inspire so we didn’t stay long. Looked very popular with diners. Nice outside courtyard area for when the weather was better than it was when we visited. Not one to especially seek out but combined with a bottle shop visit it’s good to check out.“

“Visited 17/10/2019. Large and nicely laid out bottle shop. Came away with a decent haul of local beers plus 3 different local cideries. Shame it’s not drink in (it gives the impression you can with a large central bar area but that’s only for when they do tastings - and there were people there doing that...). But you can go out front to drink. Helpful service. Would have bought more if it not for the long night ahead.“
