90 /100 VIA ALESSANDRO VOLTA 13
“I had a couple of beers here after visiting the Museo d'Arte e Scienza 26.07.21. Nice neighbourhood bar with s good selection of beers on tap from modern microbreweries in Italy and other European countries. Friendly and English-speaking service, and the bartender offered me a taster when I asked his recommendation for an Italian beer. Outdoor and indoor seating.“

Hop (Bar)
VIALE REGINA MARGHERITA 16
“Visited on a hot summer night 24.07.21. A choice of ten modern beers on draught and also a selection of canned and bottled beers. Very friendly, efficient and English-speaking service. Indoor and outdoor seating. They also do food until late evening. Recommended!“

“Unplanned stop on our canals stroll. Seems like a regular bar with good beer selection. Medium sized place with patio outside. Had 6 or 7 taps, Aktien and Maisels Weisse joined by one Birrificio Italiano and 3 Oso Verde. Nine more bottles of Oso Verde. If you haven't tried the beers it's OK for a quick stop, but there are much better places in the area.“

“Medium sized place just next to the one of the Navigli canals. Modern interior with patio outside. Seems to be popular with locals. Ten out of 12 taps were with additional 15 or so bottles/cans in the fridge (mostly Picobrew stuff which is on tap, but they did have Montegioco La Mummia as well). Beers are true to the style, they focus mainly on low abv brews, their Pilsner was great. We also got a cheese board and 3 of the cheeses were made by Pietro, the head brewer. He explained everything about the beers and cheeses (which are great). Great place and one of the highlights of our Milano trip.“

“Old school pub with massive wooden chairs and tables, bricks (fake?) and interior which I guess has seen better days. Bit too dark for my liking. There are some tables in front as well. Beer selection is quite extensive with 16 beers on tap and I think there is room for more since none of the 7 HP seemed to be working. Beers on tap were all Italian, some from breweries I've never even heard of which is always a plus. Also there is a fridge with 50 or so mostly Italian brews. We had some snacks which were good. Although I didn't dig the atmosphere that much I'd consider one of the places to visit when visiting Milano.“

78 /100 ALZAIA NAVIGLIO GRANDE 44
“Narrow bar located next to the Navigli canal with just several tables inside. Unlike other beers in the canal area this place does not have a patio. I was under impression people just buy beer to go and drink in front, next to the canal. With 19 taps (5 HP) selection is surprisingly large and quite interesting since it focuses on Italian micros exclusively. Service and ambiance vary. In the afternoon there was a fellow beer enthusiast behind the bar and he knew his beers and took good care of the music. When we came back in the evening his colleague took over and she seemed more reserved and music changed into sleazy pop radio hits. Anyway neighborhood and the bar are worth checking out.“

“Small bar in neighborhood of Isola. It was very crowded during our visit both inside and on the patio so we've decided to move on. They have 12 taps of Italian micros. Good place to visit.“

72 /100 MEDARDO ROSSO, ANG. VIA PIAZZA FIDIA 3
“Medium sized bar with patio outside. Seemed a bit run down. Around 10 taps and 30 beers in the fridge. Offer seemed to be mostly Lambrate, but some others Italians micros were available as well. It was OK for a quick stop.“

B Locale (Bar)
VIA ALFREDO ALBERTINI 4
“Medium sized neighborhood beer bar seems smaller because of the large communal table. There is a patio outside so you can drink beer and watch people go by in this lively neighborhood. 5 beers on tap - Rodenbach Alexander, 2 beers from Kuhbacher and 2 from small Italian micros. 4 fridges with some imports (Knoblach, Cantillon Fou Foune), but mostly Italian micros. Good stop if you're nearby.“

A Tutta Birra (Beer Store)
VIA LAZZARO PALAZZI, 15
“As others have noted it's a pretty small and a bit cramped shop. There is a fridge, but most of the stuff sits on a shelf and AC wasn't working during my visit. Selection is mostly imports, I'd say Belgium, Germany and UK. Selection of Italian beers is quite limited to Baladin special bottles. Found a bottle of Megablend 2013 at a good price. Most of the stuff is available in EU through web shops these days, so I imagine it's more interesting for non EU visitors.“

Bere Buona Birra (Beer Store)
VIA ADIGE 13
“Nice medium sized store not that far from Lambiczoon. Modern clean interior. Friendly owners. They had 5 taps on during my visit, all Italian micro breweries including great Galaktische Quelle. 3 fridges with about 150 beers ranging from various Italian micros (including quality stuff from Alder and Della Fonte) to Knoblach, some US beers and some special Cantillons (which are pricey). One of the best shops in town certainly worth visiting.“

Cocciuto (Restaurant)
VIA MELZO 16
“Not one of those places which deserves entry for its beer selection. Its limited to several taps of Angelo Poretti (subsidiary of Carlsberg) and Brooklyn Lager. They do have several craft beers in bottle including Birrificio Italiano. Modern and stylish interior. Professional service. However the real reason for including this place is the food. Pizza is really good and one of the best I've had on my last Italy trip. If you're nearby looking for place to eat give it a go.“

52 /100 VIA PRIVATA GIOVANNI VENTURA 16
“Restaurant/bar near Lambrate produzione. We we're starving and the place didn't look bad. However they had Guinness, Laguintas IPA and two Beavertown taps so they could be somehow connected with Heineken. Also one tap of undefined Iager called Hop is Back. They have a nice terrace on the roof. Downstairs it's more like a diner. Food was unfortunately just average or even a bit below that. Skip this one.“

“Medium sized place with 24 taps, however only 9 were on during our visit. Since it's pandemic is still going on I can just hope they'll be fully operational soon. Modern interior with patio outside. Seems to be visited by local beer people since we met few of them from other establishments. Selection was focused on smaller Italian breweries, mostly beers I haven't seen around. Good service. Certainly worth checking out.“

“Small neighborhood beer star. They had couple of fridges and plenty of beers in shelves. Wouldn't say it's the best selection, but certainly good. They did have some special Italian beers you don't get too see in every shop. The guy working there was friendly and knew his beers, but the ambiance struck me a bit odd for some reason. Maybe it's the pandemic thing, masks and all. Prices bit on the high side, but I guess that's normal for Italy. Anyway if you're nearby check it out.“

“A brewpub not that far from either of Lambrates. They had 10 taps on with various styles. Quality ranged from OK to IPA with off flavors. Seems rather small inside, but we didn't get too see it because only outside seating was allowed. 4 tables outside. Got some chips for free, kind service but the barman was unsure whether the sour contained brett. Not bad for a quick stop and some ticking, but wouldn't call it a must even if you're nearby until they improve quality.“

“This is a brewery with a lot of different styles of beer. The place is cute and well designed, with a cool vibe. Inside lots of wood and spacious seating, not a lot of decoration. Outside there is a large patio. The stainless steel brewery is quite big and modern. They have 8 taps and cask beers as well. The staff and very friendly and helpful. It's fine for dinner or for a pit stop for beers before eating elsewhere? Well worth seeking out“

“A nice "rock'n'roll" micro brewery where you have a chance to sit under Pearl Jam articles and concert memorabilia, and listen to great rock anthems. A very cool pub, it looks like an old style bar. Lots of music and movie posters, photos etc adorn the walls and ceilings. The menu is quite various and you can choose between many different dishes and many non-commercial beers including their own 6 beers on tap. The food is good and well cooked, while prices are good in relation to the quantity and to the quality of the dishes served.“

“A cool microbrewery in Milano close to Lambratedtatiin. The craft brewery side offers a nice variety of 10+ beers for all tastes. The food is good, the beers are great and the staff are really cool. The restaurant side is very new and modern, it's quite small so it may be better to book at the most popular times. They offer not only the Pub service in the evening, but also full breakfast in the morning, lunch and dinner. You can meet new people in it's very cheerful and welcoming environment. The prices are in line with the area (€ 5 for an average except for some beers like the IPA that come € 6) and the quality is excellent.“

66 /100 VIA PRIVATA ANTONIO FORTUNATO STELLA, 3
“A very spartan place, in an industrial area. Looks like an old garage? Where good craft beer is produced and they also offer the opportunity to taste / drink their beers at a very affordable price: €3 per glass and they usually have 4 beers available. Pleasant music, free table football is available, cool atmosphere. In the evening there is nothing nearby, everything is closed (not very strange for an industrial area), no one can be seen in the street. Anyway, the beer is good and the brewers and staff are very nice.“

“Visited later in the evening on a week night. Not too crowded, but still almost every table was full. Quality music. Service is excellent, probably one of the best places in that aspect I've ever been to. Girls behind the bar knew their beers, were ready to recommend different beers and seemed very educated. Draught selection seemed well thought out, some very good Italian sours, great cask bitter, fantastic kolsch from Bi-Du. Bottle selection seems well curated, some interesting beers which are not to be seen elsewhere. Burger was very good. I would consider it a must visit when in Milano.“

“Edit: So on my second visit I've fully experienced the place. Met mitico Giampa and was treated like a king. Seems that everybody knows each other here. Beer was good, food as well. Great punk rock music. It's a happy place with a soul where you can spend hours and have a good time. Visited just after Lambrate pub. Medium sized place with 9 taps and some bottles. Came just before people started pouring in, became crowded after some time. Very live and vibrant atmosphere. Side of the bar was taken by food buffet, lots of snacks and some hot dishes. All free for everybody to serve themselves as they liked. Had to move on, but seemed like a nice place to spend the evening.“

“Visited in the afternoon unfortunately we just missed the lunch hours. Fairly large place, not many people inside, but closer to the evening it became more crowded. Seems to be popular with the locals. Pretty good selection of their beers, various styles some of them on cask. Pilsner and helles I've tried were quite good. Limited bottle menu, some of the bottles seemed pricey. Good and professional service.“

“Smallish shop with several high tables inside and a bench outside. 4 taps of Italian beers and round 100-150 bottles. Imported stuff was somewhat pricey, but that's usual in Italy. Worth at least a quick stop.“

“Nice and good looking place just 10 minutes walking from the main Naviglio . It’s a single room serving the PicoBrew beers only ( which is good ) , about 12 taps if I don’t remember wrong , and cheese and salami chopping board as food ... the service is gentle and prepared .. good add in town“

“the name is pretty much what's going on. We had a good time going through the sour beer menu while also having great conversations with the staff. Some lesser known Italian beers on tap and a huge list of classics as well as niche sours from near and far. A must visit place in Italy.“
