84 /100 La Binouze (Beer Store) 72 RUE DE ROCHECHOUART Visited 01.08.21. 12 interesting beers on tap and a huge bottle selection both as take-away and to be consumed on premised. They seem to concentrate on Belgian beers. Friendly, English-speaking service. They do food after 5 pm. |
76 /100 Ker Beer (Bar) 10 RUE VANDAMME Visited the 1st July 2021 - nice bar in a quiet street near to Monparnasse train station. Nice staff and nice beer selection. Mostly french beer from west country-side. Price are reasonable. A good spot in the area. Recommended. |
72 /100 Bières Cultes - Rue des Halles (Beer Store) 14 RUE DES HALLES Visited in december 2019 |
72 /100 Le Supercoin (Bar) 3, RUE BAUDELIQUE Visited in december! |
66 /100 Hall’s Beer Tavern (Bar) 68, RUE SAINT-DENIS Tap selection is quite boring, but some locals You can find. Place is cozy and they speak english :) |
86 /100 Bières Cultes - Rue des Halles (Beer Store) 14 RUE DES HALLES Visited 4/3/2020. I drowned my sorrows here after finding La Cave à Bulles had closed. True it’s not as good, but was a very worthy place to visit and benefits from a drink-in licence and is situated in a much more inviting location - both of which detracted from the Cave experience. There are 2 walls full of beers, on one, Belgian and other countries, on the other French micros plus a small and slightly eclectic selection from UK. Plus one full fridge. Service was great. Was warmly welcomed when I came in and immediately offered assistance in selecting beers which I initially declined but then when I asked for help to run through all the different breweries they had they were only too pleased to help me identify the French breweries I’d not had before (found about 12) and then help me decide which one to have from each. We shared a few there, and also had a couple from tap which were quality. Place is quite compact, seating for around 10 people inside plus some seating outside for when the weather was better than it was today! |
66 /100 47BIS RUE BICHAT Visited the 31st January 2020 - reasonable distance of Gare de l'Est and easy to reach this place is a nice modern architecture place owned by Brussels Beer Project. There is another place in Pigalle, Paris. Nice range of beer with lot of guest 25 beers wow. Service is friendly and only at the bar, only credit card accepted no cash, and wow beers are very expensive!!! I can recommend this place for the architecture, the service and the range of beer but definitely not for the price. 7,5€ for a 25cl... what the hell... |
38 /100 La Fine Mousse Restaurant (Restaurant) 4 BIS AVENUE JEAN AICARD Visited on the 14/1/20 evening with 3 other friends. The service was rude, making us feel completely unwanted. There was also no English menu. After sitting inside for like 10 minutes without any help, we simply walked out and to the bar just across. It was much better. |
70 /100 Mikkeller Paris (Bar) 32 RUE DE ROCHECHOUART 20 taps, mostly Mikkeller beers, 1 or 2 local ones. Pricey but decent. |
82 /100 I.B.U. (Bar) 20 COUR DES PETITES ÉCURIES 10 taps, about half local, pouring 12.5 cl size (Galopin is French), great service and nice vide. Very much worth a visit. |
70 /100 75 AVENUE DU GENERAL LECLERC Nice place, but it's not a brewery. I repeat, no brewery. |
80 /100 64 RUE DE CHARONNE Great wee place. 16 taps, 4 of there own beers on. Good European selection and US beers. A top notch bar for a top notch city |
82 /100 La Cidrerie (Bar) 51 QUAI DE VALMY Cool spot next to the river and a good place to come to try French cider that I bet will only improve, as they just opened in June 2019. 8 taps, but only 2 of which were French on my visit. You can do flights of 4 x 0.20cl for €15, not a terrible deal. They also have another 25 bottles or so, but most are 750mL. They even had 4 ice ciders from Quebec! They also had 5 (listed as Cuvées Spéciales) where they do bottle pours. Friendly, English-speaking service - the owner/manager is super friendly and passionate about cider, and beer generous. Very chill environment. I enjoyed this place a lot and would certainly recommend it to cider lovers. |
78 /100 64 RUE DE CHARONNE This was a fantastic find. Charming little place with super friendly bartenders / staff who really want to take care of you. A dozen or so taps, with 5-6 of their own and the rest solidly chosen guest taps. Flights of 4 x 12.5cl pours of their own beers for €10, a very good deal, especially for Paris; and their house beers were very well-done. They also had a nice French cider on. Too bad about the lack of reviews here - I just sort of happened upon the place and was very impressed. Very much recommended. |
68 /100 6 RUE EMILE LEPEU Recently downscaled the beer on tap here - now it’s just 6 taps of their own, with 6 taps devoted to mostly wine and cocktails, and if you’re lucky, a nice French cider. Flights of 6 x 12.5cl pours for €15, a little pricey given that it’s their own beers. Extremely friendly bartender who was happy to converse in English. The beer quality was solid but nothing exceptional. Worth a stop if you’re in this area during their rather late open hours. |
70 /100 Paris Saint Bière (Beer Store) 101 RUE DE CHARONNE Very close to Outland and worth a stop. Tiny shop but they cram a lot of goodness in a small space. Cantillon, 3F and Tilquin to be found, plus plenty of French beers. No English spoken by the main guy, but he was super friendly; if you can speak a bit French, you can get by. Worth a stop only if you’re in the area. |
80 /100 La Fine Mousse Restaurant (Restaurant) 4 BIS AVENUE JEAN AICARD A fine dining restaurant, but worth checking out for the 12 taps. It’s directly across the street from the regular bar, but has a different taplist, so is worth checking out in its own right. Same deal as across the street - 12.5cl pours available of everything. They had Cantillon Nath on when I visited. Very friendly, English-speaking service. Worth a visit. |
74 /100 BBP Pigalle (Bar) 1 RUE DE BRUXELLES Cool spot in a relatively quiet neighbourhood. A whopping 26 taps, 15 of which were BBP taps when I visited and the rest guests. Flights of 4 x 12.5cl pours available starting at €12, but since so many of the beers are more expensive than the base price, it can get fairly expensive - my two flights were €30. I enjoyed this place overall - chill, cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and a good taplist overall. BBP beers are generally nothing special, but there were a couple I enjoyed a lot, and the guests were nicely chosen. Recommended. |
58 /100 Brewberry Bar (Bar) 11 RUE DU POT DE FER Visited around 11pm on a Thursday evening and they decided to close an hour early. Unapologetic about it - seems that’s an acceptable business practice here. Taplist was okay, with lots of non-French European and US stuff that is not so interesting to me, especially for the high prices. Underwhelming considering its ratings and compared to other top spots in Paris. |
46 /100 Le Mayflower (Bar) 49 RUE DESCARTES British feel to this pub, but they specialize in Belgian beers, with 12 classic Belgian Strongs on tap. Half and full pints available. Nothing overly special here, but if you’re nearby and looking for decent beer — other than Brewberry — this is perhaps a decent bet. |
78 /100 La Robe et La Mousse (Bar) 3 RUE MONSIEUR LE PRINCE One of the best bars we visited in Paris. 20 taps, with the majority of beers occupied by a brewery that had a tap takeover. Other taps were extremely well-chosen too, with an impie stout and BA barley wine from France. 50cl and 25cl pours available; though you can get tastes also. Small place with limited seating, and it gets busy. Very much recommended. |
68 /100 90 BOULEVARD DE MENILMONTANT Cool spot, somewhat grungy feeling, but with a decent atmosphere. We were the only patrons on a Thursday afternoon at 5pm. 10 taps, mostly their own, but some guests. Everything is available in 12.5cl pours for €2-4, a great option for raters. Beer quality ranged from average to good, with a very nice low ABV house pale ale and a good west coast IPA as well. Friendly service, with broken English spoken. Solid spot but not a top one in the city. |
72 /100 Hop Malt Market (Grocery Store) 79 RUE SAINT-MAUR A little, unassuming convenient store right next to Maison BapBap, with a very impressive beer selection. Solid French locals plus some of the best European breweries available - several hundred bottles total. Prices are very reasonable. Owner doesn’t speak English but was very friendly. Worth a visit if you’re nearby. |
52 /100 79 RUE SAINT MAUR Cute little place near Bastille with limited seating, but it was empty upon opening (5pm) on a Thursday. 10 taps - no flights but 25cl pours, but staff will do tastes. Beer is flawed to decent, with a couple on tap being infected. Wouldn’t recommend the place if this is a representative experience. |
78 /100 La Moustache Blanche (Beer Store) 16 RUE DES TOURNELLES Impressive bottle shop near Bastille, with a large selection of French bottles and also other good European micros. Reasonably priced and friendly English-speaking staff. Definitely worth a visit for your bottle shopping in central Paris. |
72 /100 Hoppy Corner (Bar) 34 RUE DES PETITS CARREAUX Busy place in the evenings, which can make it crowded, as it’s a fairly narrow bar. Less than 20 minutes walk from Mikkeller. 15 taps, with flights of 5 available — somewhere between €13-15, not bad at all for Paris. Taplist was impressive, with lots of nice, mostly French stuff, plus some other European and American things to be seen. Friendly but somewhat slow service. A great, mandatory stop when in Paris. |
