“Very nice place in Parma. Short walk from the center. Cellar space but they have a ramp for wheel chairs. They also have a outside patio, which is where I sat. They have like 10 taps, which are listed on a blackboard. Selection was quite interesting for me. Decent enough english by the waiter. I asked about tasters, which they said was OK. I ordered 4 of them. I think the size was 0,05l. Only later I found out that they did not charge me for the tasters, so not sure this is actually a thing. I guess it is nice of you to at least order something beside the tasters then. They have a selection of around 50 bottles. The bottles are displayed at a wall indoors, so you can look at the bottles and choose what you want. Bottles are grouped by style which was helpful for me. Lots of beers I never even heard off. They have a nice selection of sours (both intl and italian) and stouts. Also a few Lambics. I managed to find a brewery that did not have an entry on RB yet. I spent like 2 hours there, but with the bottle selection I could have easily stayed another 2 hours. Of the 4 beers from tap I had 3 were good, one was a bit off (I was there on a quiet sunday evening though). I think they have food but I did not eat there. Overall I think the place is quite good value. Apart from the tasters I had two bottles (0,5l both I think) and I paid 12 euros in the end. Plus they gift me one bottle for take away. Overall very nice place, very recommended!“

“So most important thing is don't go by where the RB map places this place - all the location info is correct but use goole or whatever else to get there - across the river from the old city centre. They have 10 taps plus a cask - all Italy beers so if that is what you want then a good place to go and I think the best in Parma - don't think they have any bottles. Cozy place in front by the bar but a lot more space off to the side and back. Came in at open and sat by the window at the font, nice list after a Mister B tap takeover. They provide samples if you want them, 1/2 and full pours. Some food although we were lucky enough to have sandwich samples and some chips so didn't much before we had dinner elsewhere. The staff knew their stuff, although I can only base that on conversations in Italian that they had with other customers; English was limited but they were friendly and accommodating. Would gladly go back there again to chill and have some drinks...the 90s grunge / Nirvana soundtrack was pretty fun too, along with some locals who head banged and sang.“

“The pub is located in the " oltretorrente" area a bit away from the usual touristic paths .. This is the best area in town for having good beer and this place is the last entry ,though the guy behind this project is well known in parma for his professionalism and knowledge . The selection is more focused on local breweries but you can get beers from everywhere well kept and well poured down .. Good place indeed !“

“Locale nel centro di Parma, il pubblican ha una grossa esperienza e si nota nella superba gestione delle birre e del locale. Il luppolo regna sovrano alle spine, con qualche bassa fermentazione... Di sicuro il miglior locale di Parma.“

“Very nice birreria in Parma! Always the dryhopped pilsener Viaemilia on tap (super Italian), and very nice and seasonal beers on tap and bottle. Friend are very friendly and service minded with suggestions and interest. Pils, sours, IPAs, imperial stouts, fruit beer, and all you could ask for. Complimentary apertivos in the afternoon/early evening. Definitely worth the trip if you are in Parma!“

“In my opinion still the best place in Parma for good beer .. Don’t know why it wasn’t already rated .. Small but interesting selection on tap with always on Via Emilia , Bi bock and their house beer from Ducato the IPA 40/a .. Nice narrow place at the bar area plus a larger room at the rear .. Famous in town both for beer and link with the most passionate Parma FC fans .. Nice service and ladies behind the bar .. Food is burgers and panini ..Good place !!“

“Good place with 4/5 beers on tap ..in our visit we had a very good Amberground from Argo brewery and from the same guys the stout ( can’t remember the name ) that was ok too !! Good prices and ambience ... Worth a visit if in Parma ..I did not check the bottle selection so my rate for that is only about the Taps ..“

“I expected a bit more from this place but didn’t disappoint me .. Too many " disco " lights for my personal taste at the bar area .. Selection on tap was nothing special In our visit but for a foreigner it could be good enough .. Very nice lady behind the bar( from the states ) who talked a lot with us and even the boss spent a bit of time with us even if he was more " serous " .. In the fridge the usual suspects and something new like Farnese that brew the Blood IPA for this place .. Ask for something special as 3F or Ducato to the guys at the bar because they keep the best bottles there ..“

“Ottima paninoteca in centro a Parma, con una buona selezione di birre in bottiglie: belghe, inglesi, americane e italiane. Le focacce con affettati tipici parmigiani sono deliziose! Il personale simpaticissimo e disponibile.“

“Bel locale, buona selezione di birre in bottiglia anche se molte sono abbastanza "classiche", ovvero le belghe e le inglesi più comuni, si può comunque trovare qualche chicca del Ducato o di altri birrifici americani e inglesi più ricercati.“

“Best pub in Parma, english style, great selection of english, german and belgian beers, on rotation so always worth a visit to taste something new. Exceptional sandwiches, great ambience, can be terribly crowded on weekends so expect to wait a lot for your food to come if you get in late.“

Tabarro (Bar)
STRADA FARINI 5/B
“An OK place to get a beer in central Parma. Tabarro is really more of a wine bar, but they do offer a nice range (appx. 8) of bottled Del Ducato beers. They also have good Parma ham. The beer isn’t cheap (my Sally Brown was €6 for a small bottle) but that really isn’t much more than from a bottle shop (this beer costs c. €4.50 at most shops). The atmosphere in here is nice, like a small cafe on the first floor, and then on the second floor it really feels like you’re sitting in someone’s kitchen; it’s very homey. They had some great jazz playing while we were there (I specifically remember some Django Reinhardt). Worth a visit if you’re in Parma, as there are only a handful of beer spots.“

“Totally stumbled across this place. I saw a sign on the front door that said something about promoting session beer (in English, thankfully and I understood) so I went in. Has an awesome selection of bottled beers, mostly Italian but also some British and Belgian. Had some pretty rare BrewDog stuff. The prices on the Italian beers were excellent as well and I bought as much as I could carry. There are also about five beers on tap; on my visit they were British (St. Peters) and Italian. They also make a mean espresso here and offer some basic food options. Definitely a top destination in Parma.“

“Stumbled upon this place on the way to the hotel. Very enthusiastic owner. All non-italy brews (which actually I was looking for), but a very nice English and Belgian selection of beers. Also some brewdog, mikkeller and de Molen ones.“

“At first it looked like a typical italian coffeeshop, but in the backside are some more seats, which can make it a bar in the evenings as well. Small most german selection.“

“One of my favourite bars. Splendid selection of bottled beers plus a few hand picked on tap. Amazing grilled sandwiches. Great range of British and Beligan beers, some Italian micros. Very friendly and welcoming. It’s quite a walk from the centre, so consider a taxi or try to figure out the buses. No buses towards central Parma in the evening.“

“Historic english-style pub of Parma with lots of old gadgets everywhere... charming ambience. Great selections of beers from Belgium, Germany, England and some italian artisanals. Beers are ordered on rotation and you can always find something new to taste, including same rare specialities. Big, tasty and realy well made "panini" from the kitchen, but pay attention to the queue... things can get really long... just relax and enjoy another beer! “

“The selection is very impressive, with lots of Belgian goodies, an impressive range of Italian micros and a few brews from other countries. Their beer list is on the web, and it looks like they keep it updated. If you are in town for an EFSA meeting, it’s right across the street. While not the most charming bar I’ve been to, it is worth visitng for the beer range.“

“An excellent bar with a great beer selection, considering this is Italy. Enthusiastic and friendly staff. You can buy beers to take out if you don’t have the time to drink through the list. Italian micros as well as a good selection of Belgian, German, Dutch and British beers as well as some more excotic ones.“
