“Located along one of two major beer drags in Portland. This one is located in an old industrial district and has plenty of parking around the brewery. It was very busy on the Saturday in large part because of their robust lineup of hazy brews. It had a food truck in front, was relaxed about allowing dogs, and had a large outdoor seating area. It’s a good addition to the Portland beer scene.“

“Right next to Hampton Inn and easy to get a beer. The hazy IPAs we ok. Good to get some half pours.“

“Hooked to the hotel but not a hotel bar. Had food did not try it. Beer mediocre especially for Portland.“

“Another another whale slain! Whipped out here with Doug after work, 6PM closure makes things tough for those with, like, jobs and stuff. Particularly since they are in a little beer heaven with like 4 other breweries in walking distance. Doing hand stamps which seems a bit old school. Outdoor bar and seating area is covered, which was helpful given the Ida remnants falling all day. Half or full pours available, including some BA stuff and some draft only. I limited myself to a Rum BA golden ale, which was hella one dimensional, and Evora, which was an enjoyable new tick. Plenty of bottles and cans to go, including some cool ships and other BA beers. Here, I would return to, though I want to come with the time and tolerance to try the other breweries on the street. Like Foundation, FFS.“

“Nice outdoor seating area in a remarkably quiet corner of downtown Portland. Beer selection is absolutely world class. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Certainly worth a visit.“

“Pleasant patio off the road tucked behind the building. Taplist was small but beers were of great quality. The Duckfat popup is a godsend after visiting all the local breweries. Huge selection of bottles to-go.“

“Industrial space with picnic benches in the car park. Meads were generally unimpressive, but not unpleasant. Strong still meads and weaker sparkling meads available in full or half pours.“

“Small inside space with a few picnic benches set up in the car park. Beers were fine, a good mix of Belgian (and other) styles reasonably well executed. Staff were friendly.“

“Fairly quirky looking place. Huge outdoor seating area in the car park under a big tent. Meads, ciders, jun, kombucha and beer all available. Outrageously, zero gruits available on my visit. Drinks we did have were decent.“

“Small outdoor area with table service, most tables full mid afternoon on a Wednesday. Beer quality was good, primarily IPAs with a few sours and a stout. Staff were excellent. Great place to visit.“

“Located near several micro-breweries, this one features an entrance in the back of a former industrial building. Unless you go during the week, parking isn't great. The beers are solid with a huge emphasis on hazy IPA's and sours.“

“Quite the mecca for beer - not just the impressive facility and wonderful tour (and amazing tap list), but a stone's-throw away is another four or five small breweries! Amazing.“

“Seemingly underground bar in Old Port that has a great selection of local, out of state and foreign beer. Service is pretty good and that beer is priced decently. A must-stop in Portland.“

“The best thing about this place is that it is in walking distance to at least 4 other breweries! This was the largest of the 4 by far.“

“Long waits at other establishments on Fore St., no wait here, which could potentially indicate a problem. But mostly it's fine, just nothing special. Beer selection was fine, beers themselves were okay. Food was fine. Service was not great, and it appeared other tables were also having some problems: orders wrong, no place settings, having to search for someone/anyone to get little things fixed. Probably okay if you're sitting at the bar trying to tick a couple of beers.“

“I don't normally do beer tours, but theirs was fun with good story telling. Several free beers on the tour, and who can beat these tap room prices? $4 for a full pour of something that's $18 on the shelf? $2.50 half pours? Super friendly staff? Awesome.“

“Just a big open garage area but service and beer are good so worth stopping. Good mix of sours, IPAs, stouts, etc. No food but food trucks are available. Walking distance of 3 or 4 other breweries. Reasonably priced. Stop buy and get a beer. Beer, beer swag, and growlers to go“

“Just a bar but has a cool vibe. (hipster alert) They were playing a wide range or music. I liked the old school hip hop and classic rock mix. Lots of beer on draft and good bottle selection. Service was really good. Attentive with out seeming needy or pushing. Prices were reasonable. Food is outside but not their company (but related?) Overall. Really cool place, good beer and vibes...“

“Cool place, must visit. Beer is solid, food truck, outside seating. Beers and bottles to go. Pretty standard when it comes to selection. I was hoping for more brewery only stuff but overall cant complain. Parking is easy.“

“Tiny place near the Allagash. Like other breweries in this area, they have good IPAs but also fruited sours. They've been canning new beer when I visited and just filled cans were available to buy almost momentarly. No food but food trucks around. Worth a visit.“

“Brewery located near the Allagash, all you need is just cross the street. They had few IPAs, some fruited beers on tap. Very tasty, they don't serve food but there are food trucks around. Worth a visit.“

“Despite giving it a somehwat low score I do love this place. The score is low because of their limited beer selection and lack of food. But these things are not really a problem since the few beers they usually do have are frigging awesome! Also, you are welcome to bring your own food and there is a pretty decent taco place just off to the side. My one real problem was that I was mostly stopping in to stock up on cans of one of my favorite beers on my way home from Maine on a Sunday and was told that they do not sell cans or any other beer to go on Sunday! Had to console myself with a quick pint and be on my way.“

“Right next to Maine Mead Works and tucked away a little off the road, this place was a fun stop. 7 beers on tap - 4 oz pours of all available for $2-4 depending on the beer. Beers were all generally pretty solid, with a couple of stand-outs. Service was a bit abrupt and cold, pouring me more than I asked for and charging me for the larger amount - not cool. Worth a stop for the good beers.“

“Right near the middle of town, I enjoyed this stop. It's directly next to Oxbow and a distillery. They had 8 meads available when we visited. They offer a pre-set flight of 4 meads for $7, and 5 / 8 oz pours for $4 / $7. Meads were quite nice for dry ones and their session meads were solid too. Service was friendly but rather inattentive and slow. Worth a visit.“

“Just a little outside the centre of Portland, I was expecting good things about this place. Only 5 beers on tap, all hoppy stuff that I wanted to try. But...no flights and no small pours, only 12 and 16 oz pours. When I asked why they don’t do small pours, the woman serving said that it’s their policy and that they think you cannot adequately sample a beer without a 12 oz pour - demonstrable bullshit. Their policy means I didn’t spend any money here and they lose people like me from supporting them. Solid beers, but their lame policy means I won’t give them business. Not impressed.“

“Really nice inside and outside areas for tasting, the inside having a dozen beers on tap. They have preset flights of 4 for just $5, or half-pours for $2.50 of any beer, a good deal. Friendly service and of course, good beer quality. Definitely worth a visit if in Portland.“

“A ten minute walk from Allagash and the cluster of other breweries. Tasting room is tiny tiny tiny and was jam packed on a Saturday afternoon, so the wait for beer was very long. They did have a few chairs and picnic tables on the lawn out front, but people chose to stuff themselves into the tasting room, which has no seating of any kind. Beers were not very exciting, not worth the wait. No food. Plenty of parking“

“One of three breweries in the same building. Staff was a bit disorgnaized on a Saturday afternoon so it was a 30 minute wait for a beer, usually beyond my patience limit. The two beers I managed to get both resembled NE IPAs even though one was a saison. No food. My least favorite of the three“
