“Visited during corona time, so only seating outside. Fortinately it was sunny and warm. Great view over the lakes. Their beers are average german quality. It was busy, so service was a bit slow.“

“Small beerstore in central Potsdam, only open for sales via the window due to the corona virus. Bit hard to get an overview of the selection, but the friendly owner brought a big number to the window for me to inspect. Found a few locals and to my surprise 2 unrated Great Divide beers. Had a good chat with the owner about the berlin beerscene and beers in general. Good prices for the beers got. The brewpub i wanted to visit for a Brandenburg place tick was closed, didnt have time for going to one of the others, happy i had notes this down as a backup.“

“Cosy bar in the backyard close to downtown with a nice outsode area. 6 on tap, some locals some from abroad. Nice selection of bottles beers as well. Prices are fair, smart owner. Worth a visit, if you stay in Potsdam.“

“Cycled to this place in Summer 2019 from Berlin. Great setting, many people outside in the large beergarden. Rustic charm inside. Solid beers. Well worth a visit.“

“A easy 15min wlak from Schloss Sanssouci. Large compound with different rooms. Unfortunately they had an Easter Market so we had two pay an extra 2€ to get in. 2 beers on tap with below average quality. Service didnt know anything about the beers as i asked how they are fermented. My mums coffee was undrinkable. Good setting nonetheless.“

“Great place at the lake, close to Cäcilienhof where the Potsdamer Konferenz after WW2 was held. Lovely setting in the beergarden but I went inside because of the bigger selection and taster flights. Great looks inside aswell you can walk around and find the open fermentation tanks, the copper vessels. Lovely Berliner Weisse, traditional. Well worth a visit.“

“Nice brewery / restaurant right next to the Jungfernsee lake in Potsdam. Restaurant part is quite large but can be busy, so probably best to reserve a table if you want to eat a full meal. The self-service beer garden outside has a much more limited menu, the choice is pretty much either sausage or meat patty (boulette) but everything that we tried was pretty tasty. Beer-wise there are three standard beers and two seasonal brews. I had the 'Autumn Bock', which was very good and my friend tried the Helles, which he was not so impressed with. Beers also available to go in 1L growlers. Prices are good. Maybe not worth it to come here just for the beers but a nice place to enjoy a relaxing meal next to the lake.“

“Place with a beautiful view on the river in Potsdam. Not easy to get here on foot, but a bus will take you there from the train station. Beers are OK, typical German style brewpub. Servers are friendly, though the brewer/bartender inside was grumpy and gruff. No flights here, no taster samples.“

“This is probably the most popular online craft beer shop in Germany. They mainly focus on German beers but also some rarities are offered. Prices are okay, no shipping costs if you order at least 12 beers, fast shipping. They sell beers which are close to the best before date. Big discounts on beers which are beyond the best before date. Okay online store, but gets boring the more you order from there. I even received beers i did not order.“

“Have quite fond memories of this "place", it supplied me with my first craftish brews after I started this hobby and really got into drinking beer, half a decade ago. Their focus lies mostly on new wave German stuff and North American brews, but they have stuff from a couple of other countries too. Shipping was always fast, the packages usually arrived at my doorstep within a matter of two days, with no broken bottles or other complications. I keep checking their website from time to time and their selection of beers changes, good for them. Unfortunately they don't ship abroad anymore though. I agree that they could have chosen a slightly less snobbish name, but back then you had to sell these pricier beers to Germans who were used to cheap supermarket pilsners somehow; making their offerings seem luxurious was probably a part of that marketing.“

“We visited this place for desserts, and we got a pretty good apfelstrudel. They only had two beers on, and they were below average. The service was inefficient, even though there was plenty of available space. We sat outside in the beautiful court.“

“Great brewpub by a lake a little drive outside Potsdam. It was raining so we sat inside. The biergarten looks fantastic for a sunny day, though. We were offered a spontaneous tour of the brewery. They have recently expanded with extra much bigger tanks in order to accomodate the increased demand on their bottled range. They had seven or eight of their own beers available in either bottles or on tap. The food was okay.“

“This brewpub is located right at a lake which you have a great view over from the biergarten. Unfortunately it was raining heavily at out visit, so we had to move inside, where we got a seat at some tables next to the bar. They had four of their own beers on tap plus one on bottle. The beers were pretty average, with the Schwarzbier being a bit better tahn the others. We didin’t eat. The staff was quite busy, so service was a bit slow.“

“Well situated in a pretty town by a lake, just near the town of Caputh, so we got some jokes out of that one. Inside has a copper mash tun and boiler at one end of the long hall, maybe just for decoration, and lots of stuffed animals, for roughly the same purpose. Six beers or so of draft, another four in bottles. Didn’t try the food but it looked tasty. Staff was friendly than average. Pleasant stop.“

“Have visited here twice now. 1st time I thought that it looked more than a youth club than a beer bar, as the clientele was rather young (yes, I am a bit of an old fart). On 2nd visit the crowd was a bit more varied. Six taps, one of which seems to be permanently taken with Hacke-Pschorr lager. On first visit the majority of the taps had been taken over by Stone Berlin. On second visit, there was a Malz & Moritz tap takeover on (albeit with only two beers), other taps were Ratsherrn and Mikkeler. Bottle list seemed quite Ratsherrn heavy. Not bad and better than many places in Potsdam.“

“Charming rustic brewpub built out of an old hunting lodge, amid the trees not far from the lake. Lots of hiking trails and plenty of parking, but there is a bus stop not far down the road (Kieskutenberg stop, for the 607 bus from Potsdam’s main train station). Solid German comfort food and lots of antlers on the walls. I think the coppery kit on display is just for show, with the real thing in the back. I’ve had a hard time finding the beers in good nick -- lots of diacetyl -- but if that doesn’t bother you then you might love them. What I really like is the playground and petting zoo out front for the kids. Everybody wins.“

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon in July 2015. Place is on a lakeside so sat on the terrace to enjoy the sunshine and watch the boats go by. There’s also a self service section too. Service was excellent and had the 2 beers plus an unsullied Berliner Weisse. Beer was ok but the location is the star of this place.“

“Nice place in a complex a bus ride from the Hbf in Potsdam. Visited on a Saturday afternoon in July 2015. Large terrace which we sat in, service was quick, 2 beers available which were ok. Tried the cheese dish for lunch which was a little odd, beer and onion marinated cheese. It’s a nice place but wouldn’t dash back.“

“Quite good homepage. Great selection. I only focused on the US beer this time as they had some very great hoppy stuff that I cant get here in Denmark. They also turned out to be quite fresh (bottled 1 month ago). Prices was very fair and shipping cost also very reasonable. They offered me a random surprise glass for free that turned out to be a trappist glass of some sort. Unfortunately it didnt make the travel from the shop to Denmark So I found it broke in 1000 pieces in the box. Also they didnt use any sort of bubble wrap to secure the bottles in the box so I feel quite fortunate that nothing else was broke. Nevertheless I will take my chance and order more beer from Bier-Deluxe at a later stage.“

“The site itself is so-so in terms of user friendliness and navigation. The delivery was fast. My three packages arrived safely in Denmark just two working days after they received my order. That’s hard to beat. Shipping was cheap with just 20 euros for a cross border package and for a Dane the prices for the beers are cheap as well. The selection holds quite a few US beers imported by themselves plus a good selection of German craft beer. This was my first order, and I have been very pleased with my first 48 bottles. I just hope the selection is updated frequently, so I can get my hands on more tasty stuff.“

“Pretty solid selection of mainly German, some North American and European beers. Nothing extraordinary but quite big with all the usual suspects. Prices in general are average. My ordered beers were delivered within two days and packed very well. Shipping costs are the usual ones within Germany. Absolutely satisfied with that. What I do not like is their approach to beer: "deluxe" suggests a real snobbish attitude which is disgusting. This is accompanied by the fact that they call themselves Germany’s No. 1 for craft beer. Really?“

“Visited on a cold January saturday with family and friends. The ambiance is comfy, with decorations related to hunting and beer. The restaurant was quite full when we visited. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, willing to offer background info on the beers available. The food was excellent, and the prices reasonable, especially for Potsdam. Getting there might be a bit troublesome for people without a car though.“

“I ordered from the store to Sweden and they didn’t follow the rules in Sweden so my (and a lot of other peoples) packages got stuck in the customs. Then I had to wait for about 1 month and pay extra taxes and extra shipping. But the worst thing is that the support havn’t replied to me. I sent the first message about 1 month ago and two more messages after that..“

“Located in Sanssouci Park, within a walking distance from the castle, the brewpub attracts large groups of tourists visiting this historical site. The interior features a large dining hall with game trophies on the walls, and long, wooden tables to serve the food and the beer on. The former is decent but rather expensive. The latter is limited to two variants, Helles and Dunkles, both drinkable but not very impressive. The staff are busy, as could be expected in this kind of place. A reasonable experience, possibly to be repeated when I become rich.“

“I was on the verge of believing that my GPS had, quite litterally, taken me for a ride again, before I finally found the brewery, beautifully situated on the shore of the Jungfernsee. The interior, apart from the cozy restaurant, offers the visitor free insight into the process of producing beer, but that is roughly where the staff’s willingness to impart knowledge stops. I asked for the seasonal Top-Secret-Bier and had it, but the waiter refused to tell me what style it belonged to, giving instead some uneasy answers about the kind of hops used. The selection is impressive in theory, as each month there is a special brew for the thirsty visitor, but apart from it there is only the usual Helles available. The food is decent, as is the beer, and the praces, given the superb location, are fair. I will visit the place again if I fancy a walk by the lakeshore in Potsdam.“

“A freezing Sunday afternoon (19th Jan 2014) saw us walk down to this brewpub from the bus stop by the Schloss Orangie visitor centre. It was a welcome sight because the wind chill was becoming a problem. Once inside we warmed up and looked around: what a beautiful building, like a long hunting lodge, high ceilings and animal heads along the walls. Spotlessly clean, airy and bright: furnished with heavy wooden chairs and tables. Two regular beers and one not on the menu, but posted on the board outside, which we missed on the way in. Luckily I asked if they had any seasonal beers available and I’ve become the first person on ratebeer to have their ’Neu Jahres Bier’. We didn’t eat but what food we saw looked hearty, heavy and very Germanic. The beers were all fine and I highly recommend a trip out to Potsdam to any beer drinkers who are visiting Berlin, the brewpubs are worth the effort to get out here.“

“Located on a woody slope of the hills between Potsdam and Caputh (Kaput??), this (former?) hunting lodge is am oasis of tranquility, far from the madding crowd of the city. The interior is decorated with hunting trophies, and has ample space for visitor, wishing to enjoy a quiet evening or afternoon sitting on a wooden bench and eating very decent food and drinking reasonable beer. The selection includes the brewery’s own produce, 3 beers on tap, 5 bottled, and 2 kinds of mead. The staff are very friendly, and the place, despite its location off the beaten track, seems to have a core of regulars. Inexpensive, unpretensious, and decent. I will gladly come back again one day.“
