“This place is awesome! This is the only place I go to for my specialty cheeses. There's none other like it in the area, and I just love their assortment too. It looks to be a cute spot for 2 people to grab drinks, and the bites of food they make on site smell amazing every time I stop in. I'll have to come back for a grilled cheese and soup soon. I've found everyone here quite helpful and friendly whenever I've asked a question!“

“Large space in an unassuming residential neighborhood. Beer quality is obviously excellent, especially stouts and IPAs. Bit less cool of a space than their newer Brooklyn location, with the majority of decoratiion being the walls of barrels. Small pours available. Very glad to have finally made it to their original location, but will likely stick to the Brooklyn location since I can walk there...“

Euro Market (Grocery Store)

“Reasonable size supermarket jam packed with European foods. Outstanding range of sausage. Beer selection is huge, including a large craft selection and lots of European (and miscellaneous) imports. It is pretty clear that they do not store beer properly, so I would recommend steering clear of the craft selection, or in fact anything that you care about enjoying. However, if you want to tick Eastern European countries badly enough to drink very out of date light struck lagers, then this is the place to go (I got seven new countries, don't judge me).“

“Unassuming building in a fairly residential area, the (fairly long) walk from the subway does not feel like it has a brewery at the end. Beers are generally good. Hard to combine with other places due to its location, but certainly worth a visit.“

“Small taproom at their brewery, with lots of outdoor seating. Beer range is generally decent. Worth a visit, especially when combined with other LIC spots.“

“Small space in an industrial area at the top of LIC. Beer quality is decent, with a good range of styles. Flights available. Worth a visit, especially when combined with other LIC spots.“

“Interesting looking glass veranda-like taproom with a solid selection of Evil Twin and worthwhile guest taps. Cans available for takeaway. Enjoyed my time here, recommended.“

“Strange little place on the Bushwick/Ridgewood border. Basically, it is a small all-glass building surrounded by a larger outdoor space. The brewery itself is located in the adjoining warehouse. The beer selection is pretty expansive and often includes over-priced guest taps from the like of Monkish and Moksa. The menus are really annoying looking and difficult to read, but once you get past it is fine. Outside, there is usually some food truck, so you can bring in food. Small pours are available, but can be a bit pricy, especially for the pastry stouts and the like. Beer to go is also available in 4 packs. Good beer. Ambiance is weird.“

“I love this place and love this space...especially the trusses. Great to arrive by the nearby "L" line.(Halsey St. Station). Great big communal tables to drink and converse at. Coffee bar upfront with window service (hard to find that for craftbeer though...lol!). There are 16 taps although less pouring the couple of times I visited. I had some amazing knockwurst and sauerkraut. The beers are good...but need to get better and more variety...nonetheless...I really like this place and recommend it highly.“

“Beautiful taproom, except for the garish neon signs for beer names. Beers are good, 4oz pours are available if you ask, they're not advertised. Selection is excellent, with a few lagers, several IPAs, a few sours and stouts etc. Two guest taps on my second visit (Trillium & Horus), zero on my first. My guess is it was to do with the 12 Beers of Christmas thing, rather than something normal. Beers are good. Place is good. Service is a tad slow, but very friendly. Definitely one of the better taprooms to visit (except for those bloody signs).“

“Finally visited the taproom on 12/16/19. Greenhouse like structure in the backyard of the brewery with a large patio with long tables outside. They have 20 beers on tap, with one guest beer, A few snacks are available. They also serve coffee from a separate counter. Communal and smaller single tables to sit and enjoy the beer. Sadly, they don't serve flights but have two pour sizes: expensive and more expensive! Must visit.“

“Stopped by for a beer at this large and spacious brewpub with a fairly hip industrial/warehouse atmosphere. There was some event going on and the place was packed, so we only stayed for one beer. Tap list looked promising and I would have liked to return at a more quiet moment, but didn't get around to it.“

“Small taproom in an unattractive area but conveniently close to a couple other breweries. Friendly guys pouring flights of 6, beers are decent. I liked the smoked Porter the best. Small taproom and some extra seating among the brewery equipment.“

“I don't know why RB does not have a category for pub - a place where both beer and food have equal importance and is a neighborhood gathering place in addition. Well this is a spacious Irish-American pub on an out of the way corner of LIC/Queens, and here you can find some hearty food and a number of good brews. They host brewing events here as well.“

“We came here on 26.10.2019. 30 minutes subway trip from Time Square + 10 minutes walking. Brewery is in the back and hardly visible. A D.J. was playing vinyl records in the pub - very cool. Two screens were showing horror movies (Evil Dead) due to Halloween. A band was preparing to play on the balcony. We drank Hop Ales, Weird + Gillie and Half Stack (was our favorite). All were great beers!!! The Can logos are very quaint too. Definitely a place you should not miss during a NYC visit.“

“Visited on 9/2/19. Right next to the the old station on the bridge at Forest Hills, larger than it looks from the outside. 16 beers on tap, full service bar, grill food menu, long metal top bar, largish seating area. Attractive decoration, not too noisy despite being full. Good location.“

BKLYN Beer Garden (Restaurant)
JOHN F KENNEDY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, TERMINAL 2
“Pretty big bar in Terminal 2. Kinda dirty, with the standard airport bar vibe. Each seat has a tablet which is used for ordering and annoying the patrons. This cuts down on human interaction to a bare minimum, and even that (getting seated and having my beer delivered) was abrasive and unfortunate. Once you actually settle in, the tablet serves to blast you with unwanted advertising. Pretty awful selection, even for an airport bar. The large number of taps is choked with macro lagers. The prices are appalling, even for an airport. $11 for most pints, which seems egregious to me. I didn't have any food, but it looked like standard bar fare, poorly done. I got my NY place tick, but it was annoying and unfortunate. Would not recommend at all, even if you're in Terminal 2 by chance.“

“Very decent brewpub to have a beer. Listed 16 beers, though only about 12 on Saturday night. Reasonable sized, with a small deck for a warmer night. Crowlers and friendly staff as well as very drinkable beers and the chance to get at newest or special releases.“

“Big open brewery space kept reasonably bare and industrial. Comfortably busy on the Saturday afternoon I visited. Beers generally pretty good, with a great variety of styles by NYC brewery taproom standards. Easy to combine with a bunch of other LIC breweries, so definitely worth a trip out.“

“This is a must in NYC. Fairly new, this place has a great selection of well made beers, from sours to pastry stouts. Place is large, with dark decor, loads of seating, free wifi, very confie. 3 to 4$ per 4 ounce shorties. Great friendly service. A must.“

“Second visit in 4 years. Place has not changed much. Refurbished old industrial area, with graffiti, wall paintings, long bar and high chairs. Good service, free wifi, 4 x 4 ounces for 12$. Bottles and cans to cans to go. Close to the Fifth Hammer and other LIC breweries.“

“A cool brewery on an industrial street. 2 long communal tables, plus 4 barrels set up as table. Live djs on Friday night. 4$ per 5 ounces. Interesting and solid beers, from sour to big DIPA and stouts.“

“Somewhat walking distance from LIC Beer Project. Tiny taproom attached to brewhouse. Flight of 6 available, quite many own beers available. They were ok. Also bottles to take away. Service was ok. Nice place at least now when it was very quiet.“

“Located in Long Island City, a bit industrial area, typical warehouse taproom. Tonight full despite of heavy rain as they had quiz night. I had a couple of their IPAs and they were very tasty. I think that they don't make flights.“

“Good luck finding this place if you are on foot - it took me a while, but I was glad once I arrived. And it is marked by a simple sign on a nondescript building. It looks like the converted garage/industrial space that it probably is, but the beer and the people make it worth a visit. There is a solid selection of their brews on tap and, surprisingly, it filled up on the Friday night that I was there. There are cans and growler fills available as well as a bar.“

“Went there on a Saturday afternoon and met the owner/beermaster and everything else of the brewery. It's really a very small operation, a garage really, but they are trying hard! The guy had 14 of their brews plus one cider and one kombucha available. The place was dimly lit as mentioned, but felt authentic. I tried 8 of their brews as flights, they were decent. Not easy to reach though.“

“Agreed with the reviews praising the space, vibe, and service. Spent a lovely few hours here with a large, festive crowd. The Singlecut staff were unfailingly patient and helpful. Was also quite impressed with the beers on hand, ranging from a marzen to IPAs to sours. Solid and reasonably innovative offerings across the board. Definitely worth checking out.“

“More beer places are opening in this area, and based on a couple of recent visits, FH is really catching on. They offer mostly their own beers, which are constantly changing and always good. The atmosphere is pretty basic and industrial, with some nice touches, like a blackboard against one wall. The owners, Chris Cuzme and Mary Izett, are fantastic, and have done a lot over the years to share their love and knowledge of brewing culture.“

“Cool new-ish brewery with a great theme and vibe (had to look up the meaning of 5th hammer when I visited). I first visited shortly after they opened last fall (early October I believe). Looks like it was a small old factory. It's kinds long and somewhat narrow with a front that opens up to the outdoors...weather permitting...sorta cinderblock chic (lol). Four beers were available early on...unfiltered pilsner, dry-hopped golden farmhouse, some called a "transcontinental IPA (so "all American" IPA?), and an American stout. All were very good for an new brewery...been meaning to get back to see how they've (hopefully) grown. Worth a visit for sure.“

“This place is so much more than a bottle shop...I would definitely suggest changing it to a bar/restaurant. In any case...fantastic place to go for great craftbeer, cheese of course, and excellent sandwiches and small bites. They have 12 taps with a wide variety of first class beers. This place is second only to Murray's Cheese Bar (a 1/2 block from their cheese store in the West Village). Note that there are two locations...both are in Astoria and both are great (the other is on Ditmar Blvd).“

“Walked here from John Brown Smokehouse. Came at 9 only to find the server closing down for the night, even though Facebook, website and sign on the door clearly said that they should be open to 11PM. Place itself was nice enough, pretty big, varehouse style, wood, barrels. Some 10 beers on tap. Maybe call ahead if you are planning a visit.“

“Nice big place, industrial look, lots of seating at communal benches, games, Toys for kids, a big blackboard etc. Pretty busy at our visit, got lucky and got a table right away. 8 beers on tap with small pours avaible. We ordered them all, and had them arranged by the server around a taplist in the right order. Fine to good quality of the beers. Brewery in the room behind the bar, nice looking and there have clearly been put some money into it. Visited with Trapped on a Thursday night.“

“Small rather raw garage look / feel to it. Bar in the first room to the right as you enter, a few benches / tables to the left. Pet friendly, had both a cat and dog rooming around the bar at our visit. 8 beers on tap, some can and bottle pours from 2 Imperial stouts avaible. 4 pcs flight avaible at a fair price. Quality good, without been great. Good service and prices. Loved how the music was provided by vinyl records. Visited with Trapped on a early Thursday night - good times.“
