82 /100 Yungay Viejo (Bar) LIBERTAD 602 Gran bar. Hacen del mundo un lugar mejor los amigos(as) de Yungay Viejo. Gran bar. |
56 /100 Botilleria Tomanji (Beer Store) AV. PROVIDENCIA 2576 Visited 19/12/2018. Opposite what is now Liquidos.cl so popped in - and more worthy of an entry here as this place has a much better selection of beers both Chilean and international/US (in 3 or 4 fridges) so of the two is the better one to visit for beer choice. Let down massively though by its unusually (for Chile) unwelcoming staff. |
56 /100 Pipiolo (Beer Store) AV. PROVIDENCIA 2575 - PROVIDENCIA Visited 19/12/2018. Shop is now called Liquidos.cl and has only a small beer selection as wine (also spirits) is main focus and it’s not a big shop. Good service. Probably not worth an entry here but as it was already listed and was close by thought I’d pop in. |
76 /100 The Black Rock Pub (Bar) PROVIDENCIA 2528, PROVIDENCIA Visited 19/12/2018. Slightly curious place and not that easy to find (if you miss the chalk board sign on the pavement). It’s tucked away inside one of the many (and quite appealing) shop/business courtyard areas off the main road, this one having a central area with tables and chairs and then the small pub entrance can be seen in the corner behind you. The small bar area and inside seating is downstairs. Lunch food menu was basic with limited choice though the chicken stew was enjoyable. Good bottle menu, featuring 10 Chilean micros including a couple from Chester which was my stand-out Chilean brewery on this trip. Service was good, especially from a guy called Elvis who spoke very good English and was very attentive. Would have gone back to try more of the menu had we not been leaving so soon. |
80 /100 Beervana (Beer Store) LOS LEONES 106, PROVIDENCIA Visited 17/12/2018. Super, compact, specialist bottle shop around 10 minutes walk from Costanera Centra. Take out or drink in (there’s an outside patio area at front of shop). One fridge is full of Chilean microbrews and they even had a Chilean cider. Other fridges have a good mix of US and other international beers (though that was only a glance as spent most of the time at the Chile fridge. Picked up a dozen beers, 11 being from breweries I’d not seen before. Friendly staff. Definitely somewhere to visit in Santiago and would have liked to stay longer than I could. |
68 /100 Flannery’s Irish Geo Pub (Bar) ENCOMENDEROS 83 Visited 16/12/2018. An appealing Irish bar and something of an unexpected find just around the corner from our hotel. Had 5 of their own beers (available in a flight if desired), they were all drinkable but some better than others, plus a few other taps and some bottles. Service was helpful and friendly. Great vibe to the place. Recommended to visit if in the area. |
66 /100 Jumbo Costanera Center (Grocery Store) AVENIDA ANDRÉS BELLO 2425, PROVIDENCIA Visited a few times over 16 to 19/12/2018. Big supermarket in the basement of the Costanera Center. Decent local selection generally from Chile’s bigger scale micros, and those of more commercial scale. Prices not bad and seemed to be a small discount at checkout for every three bought but didn’t see that advertised anywhere. Certainly a good place to get some volume ticks though from what I experienced during my time in Chile you need to go more specialist to get the smaller scale micros. |
74 /100 Flannery’s Irish Geo Pub (Bar) ENCOMENDEROS 83 Your standard Irish pub filled with english speakers and dark wood. Their beers aren't bad and they offer a seven-sampler in shot glasses, something I hadn't seen before. Food was just okay, serviceable at best. Worth a stop to try their beers but it also seems to be a reliable standby for the expat crowd. |
50 /100 Jumbo Costanera Center (Grocery Store) AVENIDA ANDRÉS BELLO 2425, PROVIDENCIA This is a very big grocery store in Santiago's very big Costanera shopping mall. The beer section is quite big and stocks numerous local craft brews though unchilled. Also a spot to get your local macros for cheap. Managed to land a variety of micros here though none of them were special standouts. |
86 /100 Beervana (Beer Store) LOS LEONES 106, PROVIDENCIA A small bottle shop in a trendy shopping area of Santiago, english speaking staff and dozens of Chilean micro brews chilled in fridges. Perfect spot to sample brews from the burgeoning beer scene here. Prices were about average but the qualitu and diversity make it a great stop. |
82 /100 Pepperland (Bar) SANTA ISABEL 0261 Dive bar!!! What a craft beer choice: 18drafts + 55 craft btles...very divy very curated |
84 /100 Beer Square (Beer Store) AV. APOQUINDO 4900, L. 90 This one and Beervana are the "must go" places for any beer connoisseur in Chile. Great selection of imports with German beauties: Schneider Weisse, Schlenkerla, CREW Republic; Belgian marvels from Straffe Hendrik, and other classics; Dutch rarities from De Molen and Jopen, among many others.
Not so many Chilean beers although they have their fair share. All sorts of beer accessories and souvenirs as well, glassware, etc.
It would be even better in a slightly larger place and with more Chilean beers to attract more beer travellers. You may still find something new and rare in this nice place. |
82 /100 KrossBar Bellavista (Bar) DARDIGNAC 127 This place just opened a few weeks ago. Went here twice while in Santiago. Excellent friendly service including personal attention from the manager. About 6-8 Kross beers on tap plus a couple guests. Good selection of reasonable priced Chilean and foreign micros. Good food (much of it German) . Modern decor. Young and busy at night but also open during the day. Great place in cool neighbourhood. A must visit in Santiago. |
82 /100 Beervana (Beer Store) LOS LEONES 106, PROVIDENCIA Beervana is a small bottle shop in Providencia that has probably the best selection of imported beers in Santiago. It also has a nice selection of Chilean Micros, carefully chosen by their quality. They are not selling inconsistent stuff. Just proven quality brews by the best Chilean microbreweries. They have lots of bottles that are really difficult (or impossible) to find elsewhere.
The prices are fair, considering they import themselves from the United States. From Europe it seems they get their beers from other importers in Chile like "Bbeer" and also from Beersquare, but the prices are exactly the same.
It’s a mandatory place for any beer hunter who happens to be in Santiago. They should aim for a Beervana - Jumbo Costanera Center combo, since both places are really close to each other and have very different selections. |
78 /100 Cerveceria Nacional ltda (Bar) COMPAÑIA DE JESÚS 2858 Out of the centre in a neighbourhood that is a bit spooky at night though there are taxis. About 25 better Cliean beers from eight of Chile’s better microbreweries. No comprendo Inglese but they will type in the wi-fi code and you can Google translate the rest. A good neighbourhood bar with postgrads, is my guess. Imaginative pizzas. |
54 /100 Jumbo Maipu (Grocery Store) 1001 AVENIDA AMERICO VESPUCIO supermarket on the west side of town - may be the closest to you if you are staying near the airport, selection of Chilean and few Belgian and German beers |
96 /100 Beervana (Beer Store) LOS LEONES 106, PROVIDENCIA Best bottle schop in Chile. Period |
98 /100 TOBALABA 7681 Excelentes pizzas, 12 salidas de schop (algunas veces incluso mas), mas de 70 variedades en botella y atendido por sus propios dueños. Que mejor? |
84 /100 Beervana (Beer Store) LOS LEONES 106, PROVIDENCIA Look no further, Santiago’s best beer store. No I am not affiliated with this place, just helping consumers meet suppliers. |
78 /100 Jumbo Bilbao (Grocery Store) AVDA. FRANCISCO BILBAO 4144, LAS CONDES. Yet another Jumbo supermarket with a good variety of beer and, especially, the best prices in the city for bottled ones. Good selection of Chilean micros, at least 35 different ones to be found, plus 40+ imported bottles (and cans) from Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, UK and sometimes more exotic destinations. |
82 /100 Jumbo Costanera Center (Grocery Store) AVENIDA ANDRÉS BELLO 2425, PROVIDENCIA So, this one is another Jumbo supermarket with a nice variety and, more important, excellent price tags for all the bottles. It’s possible that the Jumbo Alto Las Condes has a slightly bigger selection. Like in all Jumbos, the selection changes all the time. I remember a couple of years ago the stars used to be the Canadian Unibroue roster. Now it seems to have changed in favor of English Fuller’s and several Belgian Abbey Ales. There is always a good variety of German Export and Helles beers too. But more important for people hunting for new beers in Santiago, is the good selection of Chilean micros at great prices. They have (2015) everything Kross, Grassau, Rotthammer, Quimera, Tübinger, Austral/Polar Imperial, Kunstmann, Crater, Volcanes Del Sur, etc.
If you are in Santiago, make sure to go to this one or to any other supermarket of this chain. |
80 /100 Delibeer (Beer Store) PARGUE ARAUCO MALL Went there last Summer. Not sure if it’s still operating there. This one was a great little beer shop with maybe 50/60 different bottles divided between classic imports (Belgian, German, Dutch especially) and a great variety of Chilean micros. Prices were reasonable considering how rare some of the beers are. I got a Gouden Carolus Cuvée Van de Keizer for about $6.000 (US$10) among other things. Just next to the Parque Arauco Cinema. I hope it’s still in business. |
76 /100 Cerveceria Nacional ltda (Bar) COMPAÑIA DE JESÚS 2858 I like this place because it’s focused on chilean micro with something like 8 taps.
The food is good but, the people here don’t know beers at all... quite expensive. |
50 /100 Unimarc Los Leones (Grocery Store) AV. GENERAL JOSÉ ARTIGAS 3250, ÑUÑOA it’s a supermarket so if you want to have cheap beer ou can go there. Some Rothammer, Kross, Kunstmann and Austral (and some others micros). There’s some others belgian and english beer but nothing extraordinary. May be quite good for chile ?
A major problem : very few of them are kept in a cool place... |
92 /100 Botilleria Piscis (Beer Store) CALLE ALCALDE RAFAEL VIVES N° 56, PROVIDENCIA Hard to find but a Bety good selection to go!! |
50 /100 Cerveceria Nacional ltda (Bar) COMPAÑIA DE JESÚS 2858 Horrible customer !! Waitress does not indications and do not know what have.
Good selection! |
82 /100 Mesón Nerudiano (Restaurant) DOMINICA 35, RECOLETA Ate here for our welcome dinner for a school trip for MBA. Had a few local beers on tap and in bottle. Really cool ambiance, old world feel. Delicious Chilean food and the service was super friendly. Worth a stop. |
80 /100 Vaquita Echá (Restaurant) RAMÓN SUBERCASEAUX 3355 · PIRQUE Calm place with great own home made beers and delicious beefs.
|
74 /100 The Black Rock Pub (Bar) PROVIDENCIA 2528, PROVIDENCIA Great bar, helpful and knowledgeable owner serving almost exclusively local Chilean Independently owned Craft beers. Limited selection due to limited space but good diversity in the selection available.
If you want to sample a good cross section of Chilean craft beers then this is a great place to go.
Happy hour until 10 pm means day time drinking is a good option! |
100 /100 TOBALABA 7681 A lot of Chileans Craft Beer, the best internacional Beer, ratebeer over 90.... |
76 /100 Beervana (Beer Store) LOS LEONES 106, PROVIDENCIA First specialized store in Chile. They started just a couple of month ago and for now they concentrate mainly in microbreweries from the west coast and some local ones, but they plan to expand their variety quickly. I hope they do, because it is good to buy where you can have a good guidance and reccomendation from the owners as it is here. |
82 /100 Beervana (Beer Store) LOS LEONES 106, PROVIDENCIA One of the few bottle shops in Chile jsut started and started great. It has a good selection of beers incl. Ballast Point, Andreson Valley, Coronado, Green Flash, Mikkeller, Duvel, Gulden Draak and a lot of chilean beers.
Owners are very nice and helpful. Very well located and hope to see more variety in the future. |
90 /100 Botilleria Piscis (Beer Store) CALLE ALCALDE RAFAEL VIVES N° 56, PROVIDENCIA Best bottle shop that I’ve found in Santiago. Loads of unusual local stuff, and all of high quality. Someone is curating this place very well. It’s a bit tricky to find, but well worth it (best way to remember - it’s between Manuel Montt and Pedro del Valdivia stations (but off the main street). |
82 /100 Delibeer (Beer Store) PARGUE ARAUCO MALL I was delighted to stumble across this little bottlestore in this huge shopping centre. It’s a bit tricky to find, as it’s in the outdoor part up near the cinema. Has an excellent selection of local beers, many limited edition from what I could understand. |
86 /100 Cerveceria Nacional ltda (Bar) COMPAÑIA DE JESÚS 2858 I’ve been to this place both times I’ve been in Santiago, and I’ve yet to find a better place to immerse yourself in the local craft beer scene. There is nothing but Chilean craft in here. So there’s a big range of beers on tap (schop). This year is was all Rothhammer, which is a great outcome as I find these guys the most consistent and adventurous of the emerging Chilean brewers. The staff were very sympathetics to my lack of espanol, and service was top notch. The food was tasty too (The pizzas looked great). I just wish they’d open much earlier. I’d have been there at lunchtime everyday if they were open. |
78 /100 Pimienta RestoBar (Bar) LONDRES NO. 45 Tucked down a little side street (between the San Francisco Convent/museum and San Francisco Plaza Hotel) we stopped here because it looked a nice location for a drink and people watching (patio seating facing the street). Little did we know they have a good range of quality Santiago Craft beers (Quimera http://cervezaquimera.cl/en/) as well as a nice tapas and suchi menu. The Pale Ale was particularly enjoyable. It was so good we returned for dinner the next night and the food was very good pub style fare. |
92 /100 Rubik Restobar (Bar) SEMINARIO 515 Great beer selection from Chilean craft beer to imported, good food, ideal to hang out with friends |
100 /100 CALLE AYACULLO 485 The Best Selection in town!!!! |
58 /100 Backstage (Patio Bellavista) (Restaurant) PIO NONO 55, LOCAL 57 Not entirely sure what happened here... Looking at the menu I had high expectations. In the region of 30 national bottles on offer: great! I thought. However, upon attempting to order from the rather intriguing selection I was informed by the waiter that only two from the list were available. Disappointed to say the least, though the one I "chose" was decent enough for what it was worth. The fridges were reasonably full of bottles but of the relatively predictable imported variety and I was hoping to sample a fair few Chilean crafts from the likes of Rothammer etc. The food was good, though Bellavista being a relatively touristic area the prices were on the higher side than I had become accustomed to after travelling here via Bolivia and Peru. If the national beer fridges has been fully stocked as represented in the menu I would have definitely revisited. Not sure if the fact that I went on a Sunday had anything to do with the short supply but either way the first experience put me off somewhat. |
60 /100 Pipiolo (Beer Store) AV. PROVIDENCIA 2575 - PROVIDENCIA Went based on rating and proximity to hotel. Really hopping for special local Kross or something. Couple Belgian (chofe, duvel) and French beers. One Kross-the pale ale. Bit disappointing but probably good brew selection for Santiago. Small packed and clean with very friendly staff but not much wine or beer knowledge. Nice but small selection of wines, gourmet foods, and high end spirits. Staff wrapped the wine I got very nicely for the trip home. Don’t make a cross town trip but worth a stop if nearby. |
62 /100 Tienda de Vinos La Reina (Beer Store) MONSEÑOR EDWARDS 1393 Exellent wine selection with a good quality range. On beer, still some very good chilean micros- but only 20-30 differensiert ones. About 10-15 of these aren’t available and other place in Santiago as i found
Some french & Beøgian stuff- but most of these are pretty easily available in europe and not realt treasurss, for instanser Delirium.
B aware thar plate does not open before 12.00- as I had a bum trip to early myself.
I would takke the trip, if you are in Santiago |
