“Cool place with a pretty big tap list with lots of local Tampa stuff and some other Belgian imports and U.S. mainstays. Great patio overlooking the Ybor City sidewalk circus. The service is great too - the waitress even warned me away from a really crappy beer I tasted anyway because deez ticks. Some Angry Chair, Cigar City, 7venth Sun on tap. Flights available. Good stuff.“

“Probably the best brewery in Tampa, and I know, that's not something that comes lightly. But I'm not a fan of Cycle's one imperial stout mixed 3000 times, and while I like Cigar City's beer, the place isn't as cool as this. Then there's the food here - redfish po' boy is pretty much everything. The beer as well is everything that I love most about craft beers. Dry dark beers that taste roasty and crisp without a million adjuncts and barrels. Great IPAs, a great Belgian strong, a light bretta Orval type beer and even a wonderful pilsener. All available in flights. Place has character too, and service was good. I can't recommend this place enough, and I'd never even heard of it. Amazing beer, great place, amazing food.“

“Best new brewery in Tampa by far!!! A must try! Best IPAs in the area, stouts are amazing. Their smoothie sours are the only ones I'll buy.“

“I love the lay out, huge and spacious inside and out. The bar is stunningly large the logo looming over the room. Super cool. The beers were great. I had my 3 best pours of a very long day here. I would for sure come back, and next time it wouldn't be my last stop.“

“HS continues to amaze with their pastry sours. I had some truly wonderful tastes, but the drinkability of them remains an issue. 5oz sure, a can, no way. Had their 3 stouts, the heavy adjunct usage didn't translate as well as their sours, but they did do a better orange stout than GI. Cool design inside. A solid choice if at Garagiste or Magnanimous.“

“came in here for "late start" beers - this place was less than a block from my hotel. big beer list of "late start" and guest brews, mostly "late start". got some decent non-local ticks. nice staff but nothing more. a little slow, maybe from it being a sunday during NFL play offs.“

“was wandering Ybor looking for a place to eat. I skipped the tattoo parlors, sketchy places, and the kitschy ones. After what felt like a day-long march, I looked up and saw the Zydeco sign. Now what follows might be biased because of my French upbringing, but I needed this place for this point in my life. First, I need food and possibly a good drink. This place met that. I got a po' boy brisket sandwich and plenty of tasty beers. Atmosphere got better once I saw the Bolt mascot knock on the door to be let in for a wedding reception going on upstairs - for me this translate to some street creds. The server was attentive, even if training, and very helpful. I decided to buy a shirt and the staff bent over backwards to help me and my mom find the perfect shirt. for me, an oasis. was this a typical night? dunno. Did I have a good time - hell yes!“

“street parking and was easy find free parking. walked in and saw a dude with a Jackie O's hat. things went a little downhill after that. server was a little too "hands off" about helping us. I don't mind being left alone, but not that much. Beer list was big, but not too many beer styles I wanted (as in not enough even for a flight if they have that). food was good. I like the neighborhood and feel like this was a "necessary" corporate establishment to make the "less essential" ones possible. There is merit in that, but to some extent. maybe I was just in a bad mood. some of the other servers seemed more attentive“

“came in during the few days of the renovation. Had no idea this was going on. I showed and saw a "pod" with 8-10 beer on tap with a "deck" on top. a huge downer at first. went on the tour and this changed my mind, immensely. not their fault I showed up at this time. The place looks like it will be better than before especially with a regular food option and more seating room. from the taps: got two great beers. On the tour got a sort of rare beer. small lot. no clue if has wifi. not sure if place is kid friendly with the new set up.“

“Stop here on my Florida vacation. Decent space in downtown Tampa. Street parking was easy on a Saturday. They had a event going on and offered couple food options from the kitchen. Service was lagging a bit, but the beers were good.“

“Nice taproom with a good selection of beer. I've been drinking Cigar City beers for a while and finally made it to the brewery on a trip through Tampa area. Definitely worth the stop. All of the beers I tried were good and they had some that I had not tried yet. Also quite a few more unique bottled beers, though those were quite pricy.“

“One of the last stops on the Tampa trip...some outside space and working space with tables and a bar inside along with some TVs showing NFL playoffs when we were there. Board games and family friendly including a colouring station for kids. Laid back and not too busy on a Saturday at 6pm. Samples of everything they had on tap, some bottles for sale. Only complaint was that most of the bottles for sale were not available on tap to try...may have been a timing things but when throwing down $30+ for a bottle of mead it would be nice to try first...especially because the mead ranged from mind-blowing to mediocre. Worth a visit for sure.“

“Family friendly (during the day at least) warehouse space with shared picnic style tables and some tvs playing sports; fridges with beer to go and about 25 taps. Write down your samples and choose whatever you want...nice berleiner and a variety of stuff, enjoyed most of it...food trucks in the front (although full disclosure go to one of the two amazing fish places down the street instead)...worth a visit for sure.“

“About a 5 minute walk, if that, from Cigar City. They have a few taps that you can get growler fills from and if you can convince them (we did) they are willing to give samples...decent beer selection including a few gems from wakefield and other interesting places. But I don't really get the pricing - some stuff was really cheap and some was stupidly overpriced - think you just need to know your beer and normal prices to figure out what is worth spending money on.“

“Visit for a couple pints while touring the area. Got there later in the afternoon and it was definitely more crowded, the space is small, but still managed to snag a couple of stool at a table. Nice selection of taps, metal artwork and atmosphere was great, dog friendly and bartenders did their best to get pours to you as quickly as possible. Variety of sizes available and good sample, as well as nice merch.“

“Stayed in a hotel about a 5 min walk during a weekend in the area. Solid selection at the multiple bars, like the variety of sizes and the different bottles in various firdges to go and for on site, even if the member fridge is a bit of a tease. Not sure I would want to spend an entire evening there but definitely worth a visit.“

“A good place, and worth the visit if in the area, even though I'd had most of their main titles by the time I visited. Copped a Zhukov variant, as well as a few lesser known one brews. Service friendly enough, and everything available in flights or single 4oz pours. Some bottles and cans of bigger, or aged, variants of Zhukov or Hunahpu. Prices decent, though those bottles are very expensive.“

“A couple of blocks down from the football stadium. A large metal building a block of the main drag. Huge tap selection, I did not have much time here so I just got one beer. I think it was $6 for a pint. I did not take the tour but it looked like a lot of people were waiting to take it. Service was great and it was packed for a Sunday. One of those breweries you have to visit if you close to the area.“

“About 2 miles down from Tampa Bay Downs in a odd location right in the middle of a industrial park. All things old English bar from the wooden bar to the bangers and mash on the menu. They only had 3 of their own beers on hand pump but they had about 10 guest beers on tap. Food was decent if not a bit pricey for what you get. Nice English couple own the place and work the bar. Decent place to go for English ales and soccer watching.“

“A couple of blocks down from Tampa Bay Downs in a large metal looking building. Nice outdoor seating area with pleanty of seating inside with open windows to let the breeze in. About 14 of their own beers on tap and the sampler of 4 5oz. beer was $14. Decent beers and there seems to be a quick turnaround once a beer blows. Service was fine and I did not have any food here. Decent place to hit after you win or lose big at the track.“

“We came here on 28.12.2018. Quite large pub / tasting room with spacious parking. Huge amount of different beers. We had the Brut IPA and the Raspberry Sour, both were quite good. A lot of wooden barrels in the location. Nice service offering us tasters proactively. Good location with interesting beers.“

“We came here on 30.12.2018. A homebrew shop is integrated in the brewpub. Spacious outside seating area, a bit sloppy and disorganized. Had the Pre Prohibiton Pilsner, which was absolutely ok. The Pale Ale tasted like a Pilsner. Many bears offered on the board, were not available. An ok place, close to some better breweries in Tampa.“

“We visited Cigar City Brewing on 28.12.2018. This brewery was one of the first Craft beer breweries in Florida and opened in 2009. A lot of the new breweries in the Tampa area have been opened by former Cigar City employees. Cigar City has recently been acquired by a corporation, which also owns Oscar Blues. Seems Cigar City beers will be brewed also in the other locations. Hope they will keep at least the local breweries independent. We had a great tour and saw the old and new brewhouse. Really good value for money: 8 $ - 1 hour tour, 4 beer tasting and you can keep the glas. They have 2 bars. Interior is just ok, definitely an area they can improve (seems the tap room will be rebuilt soon). We tasted the cask conditioned Maduro, an English brown Ale, which won the gold medal at Great American Beer festival in 2018 - tapped below room temperature, nothing for Ben, but excellent !! They had more than 25 beers on tap when we visited.“

“Lots of positives coming from this place and shopping center. Brand new gym and grocery store going in so the environment is getting better. Store itself has a great selection, cold beer, and even tobacco / JUUL pods. If you cant find something you want, the employees are more than happy to order it for you or get it from one of their other locations. Store even offers student discounts!!“

“Comfortable little tasting room where you can taste some very high quality fruited meads. 6 meads on tap, with 3 oz pours available for $6-8 - frankly absurd, even given the very high quality product (even Superstition and Schramm's are much more reasonable). It would be nice if they offered 1 oz pours for a couple bucks like the aforementioned meaderies. Service is decent, but non-engaging. Meads are phenomenal, though more like fruit wines with the fruit-dominated nature of the products. Definitely worth a visit for the great beverages, but prepare for a wallet shellacking.“

“Feels like a tired old place at this point. Long tasting room, with two separate bars, the one at the back being the main one. 23 house taps when I visited, with 5 oz pours available, priced the beer—which can get pricey, anywhere from $2-6. Nonchalant and impersonable, rushes service, but decent enough. Beer is as you’d expect from these veterans - they know what they’re doing. There’s a fridge of vintage rarity bottles for onsite consumption with all sorts of goodies, but you’d need many friends and a deep wallet for it. Kind of a mandatory visit when in Tampa, but there are better breweries here at this point.“

“Just outside of the downtown, this place has its parking lot out front. Nicely set-up tasting room, with an upstairs that is often booked for private parties. A dozen or so taps, with 5 oz pours available priced according to the beer ($2.50-4). Beer quality was very average, with nothing really being that impressive. Service was extremely friendly and very personable. Not a great beer destination, but it’s a fun place to hang out.“

“Cool spot, fees like an old-fine brewpub but spruced up and modern feeling. Good taplist of house beers, with flights of 4 available for a pricey $12. Very friendly service. Didn’t order food, as there is nothing vegan, barely anything vegetarian. Beer quality was solid but nothing mind-blowing. If you’re in the neighbourhood and have time, it’s worth a stop.“

“In a real cool neighbourhood, parking is tough, but we found a parkade a block away for $1/hour. Unfortunately, Cigar City has no house meads on tap when we visited - a huge bummer. They did have lots of ciders on tap. We ordered a flight of 4 for $8, a decent deal. But the cider quality was so poor - honestly, but they tasted like cheap, sweet, industrial faux-ciders that the masses drink. Really, really poor quality. Service was good. I wish I could’ve tasted some of the higher rates meads, but the ciders were really poor.“

The beers online weren’t exciting but they tried to make a lambic which wasn’t half bad and they let me try a Idaho 7 ipa that was quite good. A place I would bring family back to as its tasty and good vibes.“
