46 It's a Gordon Biersch in an airport. Mediocre beer in mediocre atmosphere at stratospheric prices. |
60 Nice to have the option of a brewery in the SJC airport. The bar is an open and airy rectangle with floor length windows overlooking the tarmac. There were 6-7 GB beers on as well as Bud Light and Stella. Bar tender was attentive and helpful, allowing several of us to plug in our phones behind the bar. Per usual for an airport, the prices were too high, but I’ll take a decent craft brewery over a standard bar any day when I’m traveling. |
52 Yeah, I have been here. Better than McDonalds when you have the time and are stuck in SJC. The beer is what it is, the food is so so. |
44 Not much choice at the airport so sit down and have a Hefe. |
60 Had an hour to kill once while waiting for a flight so I sat down and had a Marzen. The beer is the same stuff that gets bottled and sold everywhere and the bar is well, an airport bar: decently full and overpriced. What ever. Its a place to pass the time while at the airport. |
30 Wow, what a craptacular crapfest of a place. It is an airport joint, so you can’t expect too much, but as far as beer destinations go, this is a lame one. 4 of their own beers on tap, and then two beers that don’t belong at any brewpub: the dreaded Bud and Bud Light. Docking a selection point from the fact that they have BMC on tap. The 4 of their own beers on when I went were Hefeweizen, Pilsner, Marzen, and the seasonal, a Maibock. They absolutely ream you price-wise to the tune of $8/14oz and $9.50/20oz. Food is expensive and slightly above average. The place is understaffed it seems and service is average at best. My overall impression on this place is pretty much, "Meh, it’s better than nothing I guess." |
