78 This is a big cavernous restaurant with excellent food and a huge range of interesting beer. The service was super friendly l, if a little slow. The food was great. I couldn’t count the number of beer taps, maybe 30. |
80 So, I only found this place because it’s right next to the now closed Los Gatos Brewing location. Win some, lose some, I suppose.
Kind of more of an upscale restaurant that focuses on good beer than anything. I didn’t eat as I wasn’t hungry and certainly didn’t feel like paying $20+ for an entree...not that it’s absurdly expensive, just not what I was looking for. I guess you’d call the food here "new American"...they do a bunch of smoked/BBQ stuff as well. Small patio area out on the sidewalk, plenty of tables, and some goofy booths that are essentially enclosed and have curtains on the outside...okay? I took a seat at the bar which wraps around in a bit of a U shape. Grabbed a glass of some Faction double IPA, but the beer list overall was pretty impressive with a bunch of special releases (random BA Arrogant Bastard sighting, for instance). Prices on "normal" beers are okay but for some of the special stuff, it’s gonna be $8+, which is a lot. I’d recommend at least giving it a shot, particularly since they might have some unusual offerings, but it’s too pricey for me to think I would go here all the time. |
