84 9/13/20: Wow. I was realized surprised to see the rare beer emphasis. Very well layed out, with printed shelf labels for each beer. Best in the world, but expensive, Anchorage rare beers. Lots of hard to find locals. Lots of single can options, which are great for rating. Good prices, which are a little cheaper. Lots of barrel aged and sour beers. Truly a wonderful place....Maybe it’s a reorganization, or I’ve never noticed. Kind of like Cask and Flask, and Santa Clara Liquors, but closer to Cupertino. |
70 Hmm, seems like pretty standard fare, for a liquor store that cares some about craft beer that is. They do have good prices and things are organized and clean. Most beer is in coolers, which is nice. Nothing whaley, although I did NOT ask to see the back cellar, unfortunately. All in all I would stop here if it were nearby, but I see no reason to go looking for it. |
90 What a gem! A better selection than some of the big box stores. Even craft beer from out of state. The owner seemed like a good guy and mentioned he has a couple of guys on his staff that stock his beer. It’s obvious these guys know what they are doing. Pricing is good, selection is better. If you want a real treat, ask to check out what they have in their back cooler. |
