Whole Foods has a great selection of beers with lots of barrel aged and sours and Belgians, some at high prices, but they have a nice single bottle rack at around $2-3/bottle. This Whole Foods is special, because they have a mini taproom and brewery. Convenient location to everything downtown. Selection is mediocre on taps. Very nice place to visit.

On and open terrace above a part of San Jose that is going through a renaissance, pretty good beers are served at a too small and understaffed bar while okay appetizers can be ordered at the bar and served to your table. It’s nice on a warm day or if you’re about to see an event at the nearby San Jose Arena (or whatever they’re calling it now.)

Allrighty then :) I stop in here often when visiting Mission Creek, but I never bothered to add it. Since Andrew did though... Beer selection is sub-par for a whole foods, but there is a decent selection of mostly refrigerated bombers, with an emphasis on California regionals. Rest as discussed by brokensail. You can buy bottles here and have them opened at Mission Creek next door, which is kinda cool.

I guess nobody has added this for some reason...I popped in prior to checking out Mission Creek Brewing (on the same lot).

At first I thought they might not sell beer/booze here, but then I found the beer selection kind of tucked back in the far corner from the entrance. Probably not as good of a selection as other, larger locations, but it’s sufficient.

A few end caps along with some cooler doors of six packs and then the coolers with all the larger format and single bottles. Lots of stuff from the NorCal breweries like Drakes, Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, 21A, etc. Some offerings from a few SoCal breweries, too (Golden Road, Green Flash, for instance). Some imports and non-CA beers from the likes of Oregon. Pricing is pretty much what you’d expect from Whole Foods beer selections. They also had some interesting ciders and a few meads, too.

Worth a quick stop in if you’re visiting Mission Creek.
