Relentless Brewing

7 July 2017. small sour brewery. bartender was very nice and attentive.

Visited on a Monday around noon. It’s located in an industrial park that looks like most of the others that house breweries around here. Not too hard to find if you use GPS. It’s pretty bare bones at this point with maybe 6 chairs at the bar and not really anywhere else to sit. Decor was non-existent, and the brewery was viewable from the tasting area. There was only one other person in the place, but that was expected. These guys are brand new with most of the beers on the list being their first batches on the professional system. I counted 15 different beers, some of them being variants of the same barrel fermented Gose using different yeast blends. Those were super fun to try and compare how the different yeasts work. You don’t see that too often, especially from breweries that haven’t even been open a month. Major props for ambition. Also major props for making pretty clean and balanced sour beers. They weren’t perfect, but certainly drinkable. They also had a couple IPA’s and an oatmeal stout. I really regret not trying the 10.5% brett fermented Tequila barrel Gose...yes you read that correctly. The server was a super nice guy and knowledgeable about all the beers. He even gave me a few extra tastes in addition to my flight. Very cool guy. Overall, this was one of the best stops in Temecula with the most fun beers to try. I’ll be back.
