Stay Gold Deli

I come here sometimes for lunch since it's not too far away from my office and a few projects that I have. This place does serve beer and it's mostly micro/craft beer, but this is not really a beer-centric place. The draft list is pretty small, generally about 8 drafts, I believe, and a handful of bottles/cans. The beers are usually pretty common things like Bear Republic, Sierra Nevada, Fieldwork, North Coast, etc. Cans can have a bit more variety to them. They do sometimes do special events that focus on more obscure breweries, so that's kind of cool. Prices are good, particularly for the Bay Area. Seems like the booze purchaser is a bit more interested in wine as they have more variety there. The main reason I come here is because their food is quite good. I usually end up getting one of their specials and have not been disappointed yet. If you're not used to Bay Area pricing, then it probably will seem pretty expensive, but it's about on par for a good quality meal around here. The patio out back is cool. Kind of like someone's back yard/garage with a bunch of junk in it. Lots of communal picnic tables to sit at and umbrellas/awnings for shade. I enjoy sitting out back and hanging out while I eat, so probably skews my rating a bit. This is more of a place you go as a local to hang out and have something to eat and a basic beer than some place you'd rush to as an out-of-towner looking for cool ticks.
