You never know what you’re gonna get when one brewery opens up in a tiny mountain town. Georgetown now has a pretty good one though. Guanella Pass has made the most of the small building. Everything is clean and comfortable with decent seating at the bar, at a few tables, and at the windows. A couple TVs are behind the bar. A small patio is out back so you can take in the mountain air. There wasn’t any shade in the afternoon so light-striking the tasty beer is a danger. The Italian restaurant next door delivers, making lunch or dinner a solid option as well. The beer list nicely spanned a few American styles with a couple Belgians thrown in. There wasn’t anything too crazy on, but it wasn’t overly boring either. The pale ale and rye saison are quite good. It’s apparent that attention to detail is paid. Prices are reasonable too. Georgetown is now a great pit stop for beer drinkers to get off I-70 and recuperate.
