UPDATED: OCT 5, 2019 Ozeki. Tokubetsu junmai sake 'yamadanishiki'. The imperial. 15 % alc. 72 cl, bottled. Pours clear with no head. Aroma: Rice, sweat, vinegar. Taste: Medium sweet, mild acidity. Vinegar, sweat. Palate: Medium body, oily. Sweet aftertaste. Ok.

The aromas are very subtle, tapioca, floral, bready. The flavour are subtle also, makes that rice wine very fine.

Bottle sample. Clear, still. Aroma of herb and spice. Taste is light spice, almost nutty, clean quick finish.

Bevuto a temperatura ambiente. L'aspetto del liquido è cristallino. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e la persistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il gusto al naso - aroma dominante finisce sul riso maltato Koji. Il gusto al naso - aromi secondari si spiaggia su vaniglia, melone, frutta, affumicato e gin. La prima impressione di intensità in bocca è di sake robusto. Il dolce è mediamente dolce. Il corpo è pieno. L'intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è sufficiente. Al palato la corposità è forte. Al palato il retrogusto è intenso. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di sake impegnativo. Il finale è di gusto felpato e tende un po' al secco. L'aroma in bocca restituisce percezioni di riso cotto, pesca bianca, frutta e banana.

Bottle. Coconut/light pineapple, soy sauce, rice, and alcohol aroma. Clear very pale yellow. Moderately sweet coconut/pineapple, light rice malt, and moderately bitter alcohol flavor. Okay body. Nice fruity sake.

Clear crystal water colored with no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy rice, coconut, fruity - pineapple. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, fruity - pineapple, rice, coconut. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light light alcoholic. [20160320]

Sampled warm. Slight medicine aroma. Nearly clear in color. Mild bitter beginning with a light sweet floral middle with a strong bitter finish.

Bottle at Craig’s. (Transfer from an incorrectly rated sake March 2015) Pours clear with no head. Aromas of light coconut. Taste is hot, rice wine. Boozy.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours watery, nose is floral, pineapple, taste is a little harsh, fruity.
