UPDATED: JAN 1, 2022 Bottle. 2020 version. Probably picked up at the brewery. Mostly clear gold, with a dense ring of white head. Nose has Loon Factory funk. Ton of mineral. Sweet grape. Light cognac notes. Taste is perfectly balanced tart, sweet, and bittersweet. Lots of body staying clean and refreshing. Really smooth. Plenty complex. Minimal acidity. Bittersweet and funky finish. Glorious.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2021 Birra davvero complessa e interessante. Subito al naso si avverte la botte, ribadita da un sapore acido ma ammorbidito dal cognac.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2021 Samedi 25 septembre 2021. Bouteille, galopin au bar le sur mesure Graslin de Nantes. J'en attendais beaucoup depuis des années pas du tout par rapport à la composition mais juste pour le nom de la bière :) J'aime bien le délire. Le Cantillon zwanze permet de découvrir des cuvées spéciales en buvant un galopin 7-8 euros sans acheter la bouteille (50 euros, oups). Cool. Bière blonde dorée brillante translucide avec une mousse blanche légère à moyenne de rétention moyenne. Cuir, boisé en bouche, cognac en effet, 'fermier', léger vinaigre, raisin. Douceur moyenne ronde sèche rafraîchissante, amertume légère, aigreur moyenne. Bonne présence en bouche aérienne, texture douce, moyen gazeux, final rond cognac acidulé sec rafraîchissant. Peut-être pas flamboyant mais délicieux, oui :)

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2021 Aroma: Obvious cognac barrel. Funky, bretty, perfumed. Floral notes. Leather, vanilla, white wine. So much going on! Appearance: Clear pale, no head. Taste: Tart, dry, sour. Palate: Quite light, average carbonation. Overall: So good. Awesome geuze and the barrell adds fantastic complexity.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2021 Batch 6, blend of 30 November 2016 and 6 December 2016. Lõhnas on atsetooni tugev, aga maitses ei saa seda eriti, magus, hapu, puuviljane, tammene, kuuv. Maitse on suht ok, aga lõhn ei ole hea. Ei tea kas halb pudel või mingi muu probleem. 4:4:6:3:16=3.3 Batch 3, brewed 28th February 2013 and bottled in December 2015. Konjak, happeline, hapu, natuke viinamarja, tamme, kuiv. Väga hea. 8:4:9:4:16=4.1

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2021 Bottle, 750 ml at Cantillon. Shared with Miro B and Miro. Clear golden with medium white head. Lots of barrel, cognac, some fruit, quite sour, dry. Medium bodied. Interesting one, wonder how it will age.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2021 Flaska från Cantillon, 2020. Cognac. Guldfärgad, clean, i princip ingen bottensats, vit krona. Mjuk och välintegrerad grund-geuze tillsammans med markanta fattoner. Snäll kryddighet i aromen, ljusa dessertdruvor och druvsötma, Cognac, tanniner, fat. Fatet ger verkligen en fin skjuts till grundölet. Gott!

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2021 Bottle @L'Elementare Trastevere (Rome). Dorata mediamente torbida, schiuma bianca leggera. Al naso intense note vinose, di cognac, botte, etilico, mela annurca, leggero acetico. In bocca è acida media, con note di botte e un leggero acetico, leggermente tart. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Ovviamente molto buona, ma non certo il massimo della finezza. Il carattere gueuze ne esce un po' trasfigurato e appiattito dall'uso forse eccessivo della botte.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2020 75cl bottle from the brewery (Blend of Lambic brewed on 30 November 2016 and 6 December 2016 aged in Cognac barrels and bottled on 10 March 2020) as my #2600 Belgium beer. F: medium, white, not long lasting. C: shiny pale gold, hazy. A: lemon, woody, unripe gooseberries, sherry touch, light sour fruity, funky. T: medium body, woody, light lemon, funky, bit cognac, green apple, sulphure touch, not so sour and complex, great one, fully enjoyed.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2020 ( vintage 2020, bottle) Aroma: apricots, vanilla, some funk. Taste: semi-dry, flavour of apricots, vinegar, stale fruits and wood. Palate: medium body, medium carbonation. Overall: Tasty !
