COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Commemorating our 20th Anniversary and the creation of our new brewery, we pay homage to the ol’ days by introducing our first ever barrel-aged blend. Reforged 20th Anniversary Ale is a triple-barrel fusion of our three original high-gravity beers: Wee Heavy (Scotch Ale), Speedway Stout (Imperial Stout w/coffee), and Old Numbskull (Barley wine). A proprietary blend was carefully established by AleSmith’s elite Sensory Team of BJCP Beer Judges and Brew Team members. The result: A 100% barrel-aged brew which balances the oaky, rich flavors of bourbon with Wee Heavy’s vanilla notes, Speedway’s chocolatey coffee layers, and Old Numbskull’s caramel undertones. Share and celebrate this exclusive specialty with friends and family now or age at a cool temperature to enhance the beer’s numerous complexities. Cheers to twenty years!

Pours black with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted, chocolate, coffee, dried fruits, caramel, alcohol, licorice, bourbon and vanilla. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long chocolate, dried fruity, caramel, vanilla, bourbon and caramel finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2021 Bottle, 75cl. An unclear brown beer with a minimal sized off-white head. That might not sound very inviting, but actually it did look nice. The aroma had toffee, dark chocolate, alcohol, coffee, roasted malt and a boozy touch. It's full-bodied, faintly acidic, dry, bitter and lightly warming, sort of sweetish, but not cloying, with flavors of dark chocolate, some coffee, roasted malts, wood, alcohol and some toasted bread. Lasting finish. A delicious sipper, complex, powerful and sure shareable. 201231

radagast83 (11245) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - OCT 25, 2020
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2020 Poured a very dark cola color with a small off-white head. Aroma was super boozy woody tobacco. Tootsie roll, some white chocolate. Lots of boozy malt finish. Bottle at the DC area socially distant Fall 2020 tasting, then consumed the rest of the bottle in subsequent days. I think the beer improved after a few days, letting it warm up a bit before consuming.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2020 Ciemnobrunatne, pod mocne światło klarowne, z niezłą pianą piwo. Aromat głównie ciemne owoce, trochę karmelu czekolady i wanilii. W smaku ciemne owoce, głównie czarne porzeczki, trochę karmelu, orzechów, słodkie w tle nuty żywiczne. Ciekaw jestem jak smakowało gdy było świeże

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2018 Big trade tasting #3. Opaque black, small head. Insane amount of complexity AND balance. Vanilla, bourbon, roasted malts, coffee, leather, chocolate. Everlasting evolving finish. Phenomenal brew, perhaps even the best one of the entire trade.
