UPDATED: SEP 10, 2021 Bottle sample at a tasting. Hazy reddish, oily. The aroma has notes of rose wine, red currant, alcohol, honey. The flavor is mild sweet and mild sour with notes of honey, alcohol, red wine, red currant, oily. Full-bodied.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2021 Bottle at a tasting. Hazy red color. Aroma of forest berries, flowers bouquet, honey and wine. Sweet, red currants, wine, honey, wood, molasses, warming alcohol. Full bodied, oily. Great.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2021 Intensely tart with red grapes and red wine. A bit too tart for my preferences but still quite pleasant.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2021 375ml TaveBottle pours brilliant deep ruby with no head. Aroma is great currants and honey. Currant/cranberry flavor, sweet and tart, well balanced. Fuller body with minimal carbonation. Sick mead, as is the norm for these guys. It’s super expensive but I sucked it up for the tick. Gotta stay currant.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2021 375 ml bottle from Cappy’s Norwood. Pours a darkish red wine color with some off-white bubbles that form around the inner edge. Notes of red currants, honey, florals, red grapes, wood, and faint acidity. Medium-full bodied, with no carbonation and a sweet, coating mouthfeel with very light tanginess. Excellent.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2020 From bottle (bought from their bar) at home. Clear dark ruby red color. Aroma is sweet and tart, floral, honey, berries, cranberries, light wood, alcohol, light spicy, molasses. Sweet and acidic fruity taste like aroma. Medium thin to oily body with flat carbonation.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2020 Deep red color and still. Heavy honey nose with tons of red currants. Rich berry flavors over great honey tastes. It reminds me of the red currant jelly we used to make. Complex, full flavored, delicious mead.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2020 Sample at Tide's Residence, Helsinki. Color is clear light ruby with very small white head. Aromas and flavours: Berries, red berries, sweetness, some honey and some christmas spices.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2020 375ml bottle. Sweet, stingy aroma with some red currant, super smooth and complex taste with loads of honey, dry finish, tartish berries. Super well balanced taste, but the aroma feels a bit off.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2020 ( bottle) Aroma: almond, raspberry, blackberries. Taste: semi-sweet, very sour , flavour of tart berries, raspberries and honey. Palate: full body. Overall: Lovely ! tasty one :D
