COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweet, tart, beautiful and well-balanced, Amelia is the most recent addition to our Schramm’s Mead family. In the early 1880’s Santa Cruz fruit breeder James Harvey Logan interbred Aughinbaugh blackberries with Red Antwerp raspberries. The Loganberry was born. Over a century later, in 2016, so was Amelia.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2019 375 ml bottle. Pours a beautiful dark red color with some nice leggings that clings to the glass. The aroma shows notes of tart raspberry and juicy, sweet blackberry along with toasted honey, and some oak tannins. The flavor follows and shows a nice mix between the blackberries and tart raspberries with the floral, toasted honey sweetness. Full bodied and smooth with no carbonation that leads to sweet and slightly tart raspberry, blackberry, and floral honey finish. Really nice mix between blackberry and raspberry. Delicious stuff as usual from Schramms.

Bottle sample at the source. Clear, thick purple. Still. Earthy and dry with some berry notes and an oaky, earthy touch in the finish.

Chalumeaux (2501) - Middleton, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 8, 2018
Poured from a 375 ml bottle split 2 ways received in trade from Dsum. Aroma is insane with juicy notes of raspberry, blackberry, cherry, honey. The flavor is just about as close to perfection as can be. Cherry, honey, notes of tart sour berry. The viscous liquid coats your palate, Abv is well hidden. This was worth the cost. Amazing.
