UPDATED: OCT 4, 2021 Bottle @ The Trappist. Deep ruby pour with a white-pink head. Rich cherry, vanilla, and spicy oak on the nose. Incredible fruit character to this beer. Reminiscent of sour cherry pie filling. Great fruit skin and oak tannins along with some leather and a light earthy funk. Really bright citrusy acidity to it. Reminds me a lot of the old Schaerbeekse kriek. Really excellent stuff.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2019 750mL bottle at Muted Horn, pours a fairly clear pinkish ruby red with a quickly-dissipating pink head. Aroma brings out that signature 3F funk, with loads of cherries, gentle tartness, and nary a trace of acidity. Flavour is wonderfully fruity, with lots of gently tart cherries upfront, moderate funk, and a hint of acidity. Tart, jammy, moderately funky finish, with low acidity. Complex and well-blended as always. Excellent.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2019 Arbitrary appreciation for appearance due to insufficient illumination. Rich and really intense cherry, old wood and ripened, even partly dried fruit nose; mildly lactic/lambic/barnyard notes. Very sour lactic, lemony flavours, background taste of preserved cherries, prunes. Fruitacids à gogo, little barnyard; tanned wood. Acidthinning and -burn. Good carbonation and remarkably persistent head This ons is really all about the fruit. Nothing wrong with that attitude in my book.

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2019 750ml bottle @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Sangue di piccione, intensa, appena torbida, schiuma rosata medio-leggera. Al naso intense note di ciliegia e balsamiche, di cantina, legno, leggeri esteri, vinoso profondo. In bocca è sfaccettata, citrica, fruttata e acida decisa con leggero tart e astringenza, leggere riminescenze di torba nel retrolfattivo. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-bassa. Molto complessa.

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2019 750ml bottle. Rustic red color. No head. Cherries, sharp acidity, berry skins in aroma/taste. Drinkable brew.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2019 Flaska från 3 Fonteinen i Beersel. Rödvinsaktig kulör med minimal lila skumkrona. Doft och smak av rödvin och lite svarta vinbär. Väldigt trevlig.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2019 75CL Split 7 ways. Blood red, no haze. Sweet Cherry aroma. And a bit of honey and flower. Loads of very sweet cherry flavor, It’s tart, bright, incredibly juicy. A little bit of vinegar actually a lot toward the finish. There’s a ton of juicy cherry sweetness. Love it.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2019 Bottle on the second day at 3F for twists 19. Pours a deep red purple color with lasting pink head similar to the Ruby lambic that was on tap. Nose is cherry, blackberry, oak, must, cherry almond, and bugs. flavor is most f the same with a nice balance of cherry, classic 3F bacteria, and skunky farm. Light to medium bodied.
