Seizeon 17/18 Blend 37 - 16.03.2018 #330 This fruit lambic is a blend of two different barrels with different maceration proportions of sour cherry. After the maceration, the fruit lambic has been bottled immediatly, without blending it with young lambic. The total fruit intensity is still 57%, i.e. 570 grams of fruit per liter of bottled fruit lambic.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2019 Bottle at 3 Font during Twists, glad I had this the first day since it was sold out by the second time I visited the brewery this trip. I believe it was only 170 bottles. Pours deep red with a minimal head. Notes of dark cherry juice, vino, oak, cheese, and more cherry fruit funk. So layered and rich with a thicker mouthfeel from the insane amount of fruit. Probably a top 5 Twist this trip but all the cherry variants were fire.

(750ml bottle shared @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen, Oct 27/18) Pours deep red with basically no head. Notes of incredibly ripe, juicy and fleshy sour cherries, tart and bright, hints of other red berries too, cherry stone/almond, red wine, moderate drying oak, touches of vanilla, soft funk with wet hay quality, minerals. Light to medium bodied, very soft effervescence. Just so incredibly fruity, the concentration is amazing but the balance is too, it's not too acidic or sweet, nor too tannic, with a depth from the barrels. This is what Intense Red dreams of being. Pops so strongly, awesome beer.

Bottle. Lambik-O-droom. Deep, cherry skin red. Dense, foamy, pink halo. Nose has black cherry juice. Cherry stone. Fermented cherry. Vanilla. Soft, wine soaked oak. Taste is juicy cherry sweet, with some woody, lightly earthy dryness. Soft acidity. Low carbonation. Smooth and juicy overall. Dry, and lightly tart finish. Very nice. Cherries for days.

Bottle shared at 3F. Pours deep red-purple with a frothy, pink head. Delicious. Deep ripe and moderate tart cherries, restrained acidity, woody dryness, nips of salt. Medium bodied with delicate carbonation. Quenching finish, rich and juicy, luscious tart cherries. Truly stunning beer.

Alengrin (9649) - Gent, BELGIUM - SEP 4, 2018
Blend of two differently concentrated cherry lambics and one of the new, third generation Spelingen van het Lot, gathered under the moniker "Zotte Kadeeën" - which may well be how Armand Debelder refers to his new crew with all these inventive elaborations on traditional fruit lambic. Thanks to Didier and Ama for sharing. Thin ring of small pale lilac bubbles over a misty burgundy-hued cherry red beer. Aroma of cherry vinegar, cherry pits and wry stonefruit peel, crackers with sesame seed, old cheese rind, honey-glazed beetroot, hay. Very tart, highly concentrated sour cherry abundance, cherry-vinegary almost, medium carbonated, bone dry body with old sherry-ish notes in the end and ongoing, lemony, acrid sour cherry astringency, yet at the same time utterly juicy and refreshing. More intense than e.g. Intense Red from the same producer, in an extremely dry, tannic, vinous way, one for the committed lambic-head but absolute genius if this is your preferred kind of beers - as is the case for me.
