COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Maailmas tuntakse Balti porterit kui ainsat põhjakääritusmeetodil valmistatud porterit. See on tumeda vaskpruuni värvuse ja tiheda vahuga õlu, mille rikkalikus aroomis ja maitses on tunda kergelt magusat röstitud karamelli ning järelmaitses hõrku mõrkjat nooti. TET (5035) - Kaarina, FINLAND - DEC 30, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2021 Almost black beer, a head is big and beige. Aroma has breadyness, light roastiness, molasse. Taste has breadyness, sweetness of molasse, light chocolate. Medium bodied. I expected more, quite sweet and simple.

Rune (21325) - Tromso, NORWAY - JAN 31, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 31, 2021 Big cork-wire 750ml bottle kindly shared by djoeye. Good shot followed by smoke when opened. Near black in the glass, frothy beige head, spotty lacing. Really good looking! Sweet smell of prunes and grainy chocolate. Sweet taste profile of roasted dark malts, hints of caramel-chocolate, and dark fruits. Roasted malty ending. Medium bodied. Quite alright, way too sweet for a higher score. (Rating session at Finn's with lmojoh, Finn, and djoeye, Tromsø 28.01.2021).

TBone (24418) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 7, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2019 Bottled 750ml (Superalko)
Dark brown colour, small steady beige head and lace. Light toasted but sweetish aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Thin for a this kind of porter. Sweetish, saccarine, caramalt, low bitterness, toastyness should be stronger. Fancy bottle but unfortunately this is worse than the normal A Le Coq porter.

Pandevich (2) - - OCT 30, 2019 does not count
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2019 With a light taste of dark rye bread, caramel, sweet but not as usual porter, more like stout, than porter

visionthing (7277) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 26, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2019 75cl bottle from Rimi, Tallinn. Pours dak, dark mahogany coloured with a modest, beige head. Mild roasty aroma with hints of chocolate, dark fruits and caramel. Surprisingly mild in flavour, quite drinkable but on the boring side.

3.3
FatPhil (22608) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 25, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2019 750ml bottle (Rimi, Tallinn) (6:4:6+:4:13=3.3+) Dark reddy brown, large persistent creamy beige head, sticky lacing. Sweet malty aroma, some almost oatmeal lightness, but not as mashy as the usual Porter, so perhaps they've got a new recipe. Sweetish taste, lightly treacly. Surprisingly light palate, not sticky at all (at least when cold). Rather pleasant. Slightly bland, but could be considered a sophisticated taste, in particular when combined with the corked caged fancy bottle. Won't be a struggle to get this down me - bottoms up!
