COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
AleSmith Nut Brown is a tribute to one of our favorite British styles. Deep mahogany in color, its rich, malt-forward flavor profile balances notes of biscuit, mild cocoa and earthy hops. A creamy mouthfeel and full body enhances its drinkability, making Nut Brown an extremely sessionable ale that embodies our commitment to quality.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2022 Burk från glasbanken.se. Konjaksfärgad med ett smutsvitt skum. Dofter av nöt, rostad malt, kakao. Smakinslag av karamell, rostad malt, chokladkaka, nöt, sirapslimpa. Mjuk munkänsla, lättsam beska i avslutningen.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2022 Can. Best of the style I’ve had. Perfectly balanced, with the malts on full display, but never becoming sweet. Smooth mouthfeel, with just broth richness to ensure it’s not watery like some can be.

Drjohnrock (1072) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 18, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2021 Twelve ounce can from mixed six pack purchased at Hyde Park Remke, tasted on July 31, 2021. Opaque brown color, subdued sweet malty aroma, moderate sweet malty flavor with some fruitiness but some distracting chemical notes. Drinkable but I expect better from Alesmith--might have been a bit old. I don't rule out a retry at some point.

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2021 12oz in shaker. Deep brown, some haze, medium ecru foam with appealing lace. Subtle toast nose. Grape Nuts soda, more or less, is the general thrust in flavorspace. Clean palate helps in delivering refreshment. Competent but not very daring.

LLCoolDave (1277) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - DEC 24, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2020 Deep leathery mahogany brown in the glass. Way delicious cocoa aroma with a hint of coffee. Same goes for the flavor, with and added hint of nuts, pine and almond. Over all, the BEST English brown ale I've had... EVER.

mountdad (536) - Mount Maunganui, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 20, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 20, 2020 12 fl oz can (yup American). Pours dark brown red with medium fawn head. Nuts & sweet malt on the nose. Medium body & same flavours carried through from the aroma. Well moderated touch of malty sweetness, balanced by slight bitterness & that cunning nuttiness. At least I think it's cunning - no ingredients disclosed so we have no idea what they put in the can.
