COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed in 2005 as the first in our annual Decadence series, AleSmith Olde Ale follows the tradition of classic British-style Old Ales. This rich, malt-forward ale showcases soft notes of currants and dried fruit along with complex dark sugars, all of which are balanced by a subtle bitterness derived from the addition of traditional English hops. AleSmith Olde Ale is ready to be enjoyed now or it can be aged upwards of twenty years to further enhance its amazing depth of flavor. A hearty ale designed to please Bacchus himself!

simontomlinson (4357) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2019 2014 cellared for 5 years at home. Thin creamy tan head left a spotty cover on a dark brown, slowly carbonating body. Malt, demerara red wine, wood & hints of coffee in the aroma. Medium to full bodied, with a very soft feel & a velvety finish. Dark chocolate, wood, dark spirits, brown sugar, malt, port, sherry & red wine tastes with sweet jammy finish. A very complex beer & I'm impressed by the 5 years of aging this bottle.

coachd (2388) - O'Fallon, Missouri, USA - MAY 3, 2018
Aroma has burnt sugar, booze and dark fruit. Dark brown color with tan head. Taste follows aroma but is surprisingly roasted. Boozy aftertaste, slick but more carbonation than I wanted. This was good, with some age it would be even better.
