COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For this special edition of our signature imperial stout with coffee we decided to offer up some comfort for the cooler fall and winter months. A generous amount of Madagascar vanilla beans along with just the right amount of Ceylon Alba cinnamon provides this beer a delicate milky sweetness, notes of chocolate, roast, and a subtle spiciness. Cheers!

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 Can. Pours dark brown with a dark beige head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, very subtle cinnamon. Prefer the original, but good.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2022 16oz can. Poured a black color with a medium sized tan head. Lots of cinnamon ... too much that also dried this one out. Vanilla, and some dark fruits, but for me (Speedway has always been a favorite of mine) a let down.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2021 Can - another pretty great iteration of this beer - the generous amount of cinnamon adds a dry spiciness to it that actually make the beer overall present drier than it otherwise would - vanilla compliments the underlying coffee and sweeter chocolate notes from the malt - balanced, with dangerously masked abv - it’s good.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2021 Purchased at Bottles & Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home during holiday week before NYE. Appearance is thick pitch black with moderate tan head. Aroma is pretty unique, the combo of cinnamon and vanilla give a unique apple profile which seems strange. Taste seems more like a traditional imperial stout, rich in chocolate with light vanilla flavor and light spice. Decent stuff but probably not as good as the original.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2021 16 oz bottle rating. A speedway stout variation with vanilla and cinnamon treatment. Dark brown body with a thin khaki head, very similar to the regular Speedway. This beer is quite different though. Still has the coffee, dark chocolate, and to a lesser extent, the dark fruits. More vanilla and cinnamon focused, vanilla in the nose, and cinnamon in the taste. Still extremely impressed with the beer, even though the coffee is more subdued and the vanilla/cinnamon are upfront. Interesting experiment. Overall good, albeit I prefer the original, which is hard to beat.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2021 16oz can from Craft Beer Cellar in Pewaukee, cellared 2 months, and served a bit colder than cellar temperature. Very dark brown pour. Aroma has sweet malts, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and cinnamon. All with depth. Wow! Taste adds the vague cherry presence of standard Speedway. The coffee, vanilla & cinnamon are a great blend. The adjucts to the base are a nice plus. Medium to full bodied, there is a bit of an alcohol presence, and the blend is good to very good. Finishes leaning a bit to the sweet and tangy side of bittersweet. Another very nice variant to an excellent base brew. 15.7

Ibrew2or3 (10208) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - NOV 26, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2021 Pint can pours with a dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up chocolate, dark roasted malts, a bit of spicy cinnamon and then a sense vanilla nuanced dark roasted coffee. The taste delivers dark roasted malts paired up against dark roasted coffee that leads to a thin layer of chocolate. To midway both the cinnamon spice and the sweet full yet thin fresh vanilla bubble to the surface. This comes across a tad thin but with pleasing depth and interest. Nice sipper.

phaleslu (14680) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 21, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2021 16 oz. can from Higher Gravity. Pours a deep, dark, opaque brown with a finger of tan head that quickly settles into a ring and film, thickest in the center. Notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, earth, roasted malts - the cinnamon and coffee here feel woven together and therefore both come across pretty subtly. Medium-full bodied, with modest carbonation and a semi-sweet, roasty, just barely spicy mouthfeel. Good but not a top shelf Speedway variant.
