COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
2014 Fluxus is a bier de miel brewed with a blend of 2-row and vienna malts, spruce tips and honey. It was hopped with Hallertau and was fermented with the Allagash house yeast. The resulting beer is pale yellow in color with honey and spruce notes throughout the flavor and aroma. The honey and spruce strike a balance that allow both to express themselves, while a pleasant malt character keeps either from taking over. The finish of this medium bodied ale is long and warming. This beer was a collaboration project between Allagash controller and Master Beekeeper, Erin Forbes and Allagash lab and sensory guru Karl Arnberg.

This is really nice. The aroma is subtle with the honey and a saison base. The flavor is crisp with honey and shiny of fruit. Just a bit of pine. The beer evolves as it warms so give it time. Very good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy red-brown, light tan head. Strong pine, honey. Bitter, slight amount of sour, strong sweetness. Wet finish, long, oily. Fine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear amber color. Aromas of pine/malts and a touch of citrus/berries. Flavor is a little different. I thought it would be more pine tasting. A little berry flavor and some hop bitterness near the end.

Really nice. Bottle. Pours clear golden some head and spotty lacing. Nose is honey and some light fruit. Flavours of honey, cheerios, dough, maybe some light citrus. Taste light sweet, light/medium bitter. Full body with a lasting bitterness and some alcohol heat. Really well done.

Bottle at home. The spruce flavor has fallen away quite a bit, which leaves this tasting like a honey-sweet Belgian with a slight vegetal, herbal taste that’s hard to define precisely. This probably would’ve been better 6-12 months ago, but still gets points for creativity and complexity.

Year old bottle - yeast is still a standout though the spruce has faded. Lots of Belgiany zest and some honey-like sweetness. Not bad, but expensive.

Spruce has eased off by some ageing, giving more emphasis on yeast and honey. I would like the reverse but still very drinkable.

Pours a lilght copper color with a amlty aroma. Taste is slightl sweet, a distinct honey flavor with a light spuce on the palate. Overall an easy drinking beer that hid the alcohol content well.

750 ml - Yeasty golden goodness under puffy white head. Starts sweet then the hops crack back.
