COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Late this year we plan to release a second beer in the Barrel Aged series... a dark, 10% wheat beer. We have been aging a portion of the beer in New American Medium Toast Oak, and a portion in Stainless steel. We will then blend the beers to taste, and bottle condition. The beer will have spent over 6 months aging in the oak and steel at the brewery!

PhillyCraft (11988) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 10, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2019 Bottles over the years, surprising I missed ticking this. Pours a darker brown with a medium beige head. Notes are wood, oak, caramel, fruits, and nutty Earth. Smooth mouthfeel with lighter carbonation

jbruner (8524) - Lakewood, California, USA - DEC 16, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2018 Pours a clear brown from the bottle with bubbly tan head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of dark fruit and light spice Belgian esters with a touch of light vanilla tannnins. Taste follows, clean and easy, booze well hidden. Light on most accounts, but well done.

Draft at brewery. Pours black with a khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Lots of caramel malt on the nose and tongue. Finished clean. Hides it’s booze well. Easy sipper.

From kapppldav123. Thanks for sharing! Pours out black, nearly no head. Smooth choco with barrelwood and some fuity smell. Taste is more a soft version. Malty with barrel wood influences. Low alcoholic. Brown sugar elements. Maybe not the freshest bottle as kappldav123 said?

Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass dark black, small head. Malty-stouty aroma. Starts intense malty, earthy, rusty. Modest dry. But also some washy-watery notes. Finish flat. Probably a bit past its prime. Still okay.

750ml bottle at home. Pours mostly clear dark orange brown with a frothy off-white head. Sweet malts, dark fruits, earth, toasty oak. Full bodied with a delicious warming malty finish. Sorry to see this one go...

It is dark brown with ruby highlights with Belgian lace. It has a frothy brown head. There are aromas of roast, dark fruits, plums, and earthly elements. There are flavors of roast, chocolate, dark fruits, plums, earthly elements, and cherries. It has a heavy feel to it and is highly bitter on the low side. It is a complex ale with complex combinations of malts and hops with yeast with significant alcohol warming.
