UPDATED: SEP 24, 2020 Bottle released October 2017. 12.68 ounce bottle. Drank in Stow Ohio at the house. Smells sour. Has purple tint and is clear in the light. Taste straight sour. No fruit flavor. This is smooth and light. Wine aftertaste and balanced. Interesting beer. Cheers!

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2019 Bottle watching bowl games. Over a year of age on it and a steal of a deal at Chans PCB. Cloudy purple color with no head but bubbly. Tart fruit aroma with a hint of acid. Bold flavor of sour fruit that mellows nicely. Pleasant sour.

The aroma is full of spices - cinnamon, piment, hibernal spices - along blueberries, blackberries and hints of wood. Medium body with a very soft carbonation, a light sweetness, a light sourness and a light tartness - well balanced. Flavor of blueberries, blackberries, red wine, cinnamon, cloves, again hibernal spices. Overall very balanced and a nice melange of the berries and the spices. Aroma: 8 Appearance:4 Taste: 8 Palate: 4 Overall: 16

Red-purple body, with a small, light pink head.
Aroma of spices like rosemary, blueberry skin, grapes, subtle red wine.
Tastes similar, with more red wine.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes vinous, spicy, a bit sweet, with some grapes, lingerielng blueberry skin.

Tasty. Really interesting, pretty unique, with the wine, spices and blueberries working very well together. Almost no sourness, very smooth and balanced to drink. Another great one by Almanac.

Bottled 09/28/2017. bourdeaux like color, very small white head. smells of cinnamon, cloves, berry, blueberry notes, more spices, christmas spices, very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of cinnamon, spices, earthy, berry notes, blueberries, nutmeg. finishes very lightly dry and very light sour with notes of of cinnamon, blueberries and some nutmeg. lovely, loved the spices, very subtle balance overall but I love this, great one.

375 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7%. Clear red colour, small pink head. Aroma of blueberries, lactic acid, red wine vinegar and spices. Medium sour flavour with the same elements as the aroma. Slightly astringent, not very bitter.

Mi2 Cardinal okt-18: den første av i alt tre flaskeøl fra Alamanac. Klar rødgylden med kort skum. Slank og god aroma og smak av blåbær og ikke så mye mer (men muligens litt rødbeter og kanel). Ikke mye farmer-aktig hvis man tenker på farmhouse synes jeg, men Odd rune finner antydninger til lær og stall. Vandig munnfølelse - helt uten karbonering.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours almost clear deep purple, tiny pink head. Aroma is inviting, berries , light tart. Taste is light tart weak blueberries,nice but one dimentional.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2019 Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 15.10.18 and 17.10.19. Translucent red. Small pink head. Complex aroma of sour berries, blueberries and beetroot. Similar, and acid taste, with hints of cinnamon buns. Acid and dry mouthfeel.
