ozzatoadisback (452) - ITALY - JAN 3, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 3, 2022 disclaimer: normally don't buy canned/bottled ipas that get imported if i don't know how fresh they are, but i was curios about this one. If you don't put a bottling or a best before date anywhere you'll get a rating even if it's not fresh enough. Pours a quite unattractive murky/milky golden, with a good sized pillowy white head, that shows quite good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is rather fresh/vivid, but not very polished: there's a bit of sweet malty base (white bread), overcome by resinous/piney freshness, with tangerine and lighter mango notes. Taste has a rather strong per style sweet malty base, and a softer per style feel. There's still significant bitterness/hoppiness though. As for the aroma, rather fresh but not very defined/polished. Notes of mango (now more prominent than in the aroma), tangerine, pine, light ryeish spiciness. Plus, a not exactly pleasant hint of some 'wet/sweaty' kind of feel, altough really just a hint. Medium body, with medium to high (but rather soft-bubbled) carbonation, resulting in a smoother than usual mouthfeel. The beer was overall smooth, super easily drinkable and quite refreshing, but unimpressive in terms of depth and not perfectly polished.

Aroma: Hoppy, some tropical and citrus fruit. Taste: Hoppy, orange, orangepeel, grapefruit zest. Grassy hop. Spicy hints of the used rye malt. Starting moderate to over moderate bitter, finishing above moderate to medium bitterness. Light sweetness. Quite smooth and quite dense mouthfeel, over medium body average carbonation. Dry-ish finish. Very nice.

atpsynthase (155) - SINGAPORE - MAY 4, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 5, 2021 355 ml can from an online store - already six months old when it came. Pours a semi-hazy brilliant yellow-orange almost like a postcard New England with a two finger white head. Aroma of lots of pineapple, some white grape, mango and malt, but it's a wonderfully aromatic beer. Very balanced taste with a lot of fruitiness, making the bitterness supporting. It's only mild to medium though it seems quite heavily hopped. Very smooth mouthfeel as well due to the rye as well as a nice supporting carbonation. The 7% ABV is completely hidden. I'm utterly convinced, even as somebody who doesn't really like IPAs. Would definitely be a 4.1 if it were fresh.

Fin (15185) - Attenkirchen, Bavaria, GERMANY - JAN 15, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2021 Can picked up from Saveur-Biere, webshop, Lille, France and consumed at home Friday 15th January 2021 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music about to start cooking Lamb Keema Saag Balti, from the Curry Guy cookbook, with Dal Makhani from Made in India cookbook. Pours hazy, mmhh... actually a murky, milky yellow/gold with a large creamy textured white coloured head. Very soft mouthfeel, dry, almost Indian Tonic touch, however the sweetness rather rules out that quite swiftly, this is good in fact very good for not being the usual bombastic in yer'face Nelson hit, it's really nice, dry, some grapefruit, hoppiness zips across the tongue. Really good.
