UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 Dark brown body and modest medium beige foam. Nice chewy chocolate syrup aroma, sour lacquer, soft motor oil. Taste is good bittersweet molasses, soft candied biscuit, ending full and reasonably smooth. Kinda fun, good hiding of the booze, though rather simple.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark brown colour, almost black. Aroma of dark malts with a touch of bourbon. Medium body, low sweetness for the style, some dark caramel, some bourbon; not much depth, and short finish, but it's quite good overall.

beerplace (6389) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 5, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2021 16oz @ Alex's. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: some barrel, a little bit of vanilla and ink. Taste: barrel, some wierd fruity notes, probably coming from the barrel, moderately sweet with a light acidity. Overall: ok.

mcberko (34280) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 24, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 24, 2021 473mL can, pours jet black with a small dark brown head. Nose brings out some smoky bourbon barrels, lots of roast, and booze. Flavour is rather boozy, with plenty of bourbon, intense roast, and booze. Low residual sweetness, finishing roasty and bourbony. Not a massively complex BA impie, but it’s well-made.
