COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To understand the space this beer occupies in the brewing landscape, all you have to do is walk its boundaries. Begin at the corner that values flavour above all else. Continue to the unmistakable aromas of a great IPA. Keep going until you sense the balance of a pale ale. Then arrive back where you started, and do another lap.

Oakes (26757) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 27, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 27, 2021 Pale amber, slight haze, medium head. Lots of allium hops, light biscuitiness, mellow fruity hop notes as well. On the palate, fairly fruity with a lightish bready malt note, like the crust on wonderbread sort of thing.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2020 On tap at Annex Ale Project, pours an opaque muddy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out murky, earthy hops and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with muddy, earthy hops, some pine, and bready malt. A little dirty but it’s not too bad.

cmacklin (3166) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 13, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2019 473ml can. Pours a cloudy gold-orange with yeast chunks that sink to the bottom and a large, creamy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of biscuit malt, caramel, peach, orange, grapefruit and piney hops. Sweet fruity flavour of crackery pale malt, caramel, orange rind, peach, apricot, grapefruit and tangerine with a dry, bitter, piney hop finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. Well balanced and juicy.

On tap. Pours to a hazy light amber with a thin white head. Complex citrus aroma. Taste is slightly bitter, with lemon, pine, grapefruit notes. Barely malty, slightly earthy. Finishes pine. Very well balanced. Excellent beer- I could drink this all day long

I don't think this beer will deserve the marks it's getting from me tonight, but it was shared with a mate from Quebec with a little bonus. Aroma is Pine, orange, grapefruit, and cannabis. Taste is mostly pine, some vegetal notes, grapefruit, and maybe orange rind. Feelin' good.

myrda (111) - - MAR 30, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2018 Very much in between an IPA and a Pale Ale. Kinda blurry, both in the style and in appearance. Hints of resinous hops to the nose, very herbal to the palette. Found it on tap at Hy5, Canmore. Overall a well ♎, easy drinking beer.
