COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Massive in every way, B-Craft delivers a complex bundle of flavors with citrus-hop aroma. Moving beyond the massive hop aroma, rich roasted malt flavors of coffee and chocolate move forward only to be checked by an impressive hop bitterness. Texture and flavor dance together so seamlessly that you may need to remind yourself that, while it drinks like a session, it delivers like an assassin.

Tap at brewery in Kalamazoo during glbtq. Black with bubbly tan head . Roasty nose. Taste is sweet, with very well balanced sweet and bitter. One of the best black ipas I’ve had. Delicious.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque except at the edges dark black brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The weak aroma was brown malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a strong roasted malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mildly vinous burnt malt and brown malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Bottle shared with koleminer20, out of Dumpster Day box #1. Aroma is roasted malt, pine, bready. Appearance is dark brown, light tan head. Taste is lots of malt, roast, smoke, very light hop presence. Mouthfeel is medium body and light carbonation. Overall, I’d say this is a slightly hoppy porter rather than a Black IPA.

12oz bottle- Pours dark, but still see-through. Not much hop smell, but that sweet cereal is there. A really good combination of tastes- a fair amount of sweetness with a pleasant bitter finish.

A nice black IPA overall. Pours a deep black with a tan head. Smells of smoked ham, vanilla and some hops. Taste is similar, well balanced, a bit of smokiness and some hops and herbs. Had in the bottle.

Pours a jet black with a thick, long-lasting white foam head. Aroma is citrus, pine, and grapefruit hops, and chocolate and caramel malts. Flavor is citrus and pine hops, and chocolate and resin. The malts mute the bitterness somewhat. Very good.

not seeing the % here. a standard across the board black ipa. The balance comes off a little muddled. dark roast and bitterness, yes. The hops are outshined. Nothing unpleasant at all, but not very interesting either.

This comes off as more of a hoppy porter than a black IPA not that there is a huge difference between these two styles. It’s a lovely beer with a dark brown color and rich, long lasting head and lace in rings but, sadly, that is the only thing exceptionally good about it. I am getting chocolate and roast coffee up front in the nose w/ some floral and citrus hop tones around the edges. The taste is harshly bitter and ashy which goes a long way to cover up what is actually a really nice, creamy texture to it. There is really something rather off and metallic about this while it does have some very good qualities, it is also kind of unpleasant to actually drink. This makes for a below average beer in my opinion.
