There dark fruits is like prunes and plums. There are some coffee notes in the background. The flavors are a combination of roast, coffee, plums, and prunes. There are some cocoa elements in the background with some black licorice. It has a full, not quite chewy body. The cocoa and licorice are more pronounced in the finished. Overall, a complex combination of malt flavors and dark fruits.

SG111 (2285) - New York, USA - MAR 8, 2017Bottled, 2016 vintage. Pours black, tan head. Aroma is lots of roasted malt, some chocolate, a little thin maybe for the abv. Very roasty. Flavor is heavy roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee bitterness, spot of plum. Again, body is a little thin, perhaps overcarbed. It’s fine, but it really doesn’t stand out to me in any way.
