COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After years of commemorating our anniversary with deliciously wild and weird ales, we decided to mix it up a bit and create our first Anniversary Lager. SEVENTEEN is a celebration and case study of the aromas and flavors of German hops. And knowing our fetish for those beautiful green cones, you can be confident that the contents of this bottle are excessively hopped for your olfactory pleasure. Many thanks to all and we hope you enjoy our lupulin dissertation. Peace to all and follow your dreams! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, imported German hops, and German yeast.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2019 I was hoping this would be better, but hey...I'm a newbie when it comes to schwarz's, especially an imperial. I think I may prefer a lighter schwarz better. I found this a little bitter as well, roasty, whatever you wanna call it. Decent flavor but nothing really outstanding. Maybe the balance not working that well for me. Found the mouthfeel a bit on the rusty side. Nice to try, but feelin the coin coulda been used to sample something better.

Had this a while ago pours a dark color with a big fluffy head that stays around for a while. Aroma is great, aroma chocolate, roasted malts, and hops . Taste roasted chocolate, some sweet maltiness, a slight bitterness.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown nearly black with a lasting tan head. Aromas of burnt caramel, charcoal, earthiness, noble hops and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, charcoal, toffee, orange, noble hops and light earthiness with a smooth dry lingering roasty fruity finish. 3/10

Bottle pour at Brouwer’s split, thanks to Andrew for searching for this style and me being with him when he found it, awesome beer and I do love me some Avery. Black pour thin head, herb aroma and taste deep flavor has held up well over time.

I can’t believe there was a dunkler bock hidden underneath my nose this while time. I’ve been looking for a while, all while knowing this beer was available here at Brouwers Cafe. 22 Oz bottle poured. Pours black with a full cloud cover of thick tan head and lacing. Very nice dry flavor with some graham gracker, and sweet vanilla. Thick body, and very flavorful for a beer with the word lager on the label. A ton of spice. So glad to try this. Well done.

Thick brown head that lasts a long time. The head still remained after a 1 h walk with my dogs! Fine aroma of dark roasted malts and a dark caramell malt together with sweet liqurish. Full bodied with mild caramell malt blended with light roasted malts. Fine balanced bitterness that lingers on and gives a small salty finnish.

nice beer. unique hop profile. not like a black ipa...it’s own animal. pours nearly black, aromatic hops and roasted malt, but has a distinctly different aroma and flavor. fruity, and just a little bitter and dry."

Bottle from Bruisn ales. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Has a bit of malt on the nose and the descendants of hop note. Alcohol wears fairly heavy on the tongue. Some maltiness on the tongue with a hint of bitterness on the finish. Pretty good after 4 years.

bottle. Deep brown, near black with one finger head. It might be past prime, but this just seems bland. Hops are light and dull. Malt doesn’t seem very roasty. Average at best.
