Ok, but I wouldn't want another one.
DWestrick (1781) - Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 16, 2020UPDATED: AUG 16, 2020 12oz can. Part of a mix and match pack. Decent as far as lagers go. Decent.
kdm1984 (1022) - Springfield, Missouri, USA - DEC 19, 2019UPDATED: DEC 19, 2019 Light aroma of popcorn malt. Flavor is grassy hop and cream corn. Earth becomes noticeable with each additional sip. Pretty typical example of the style when done by a craft company. Decent enough, but not close to Firestone Walker's example.
zoucrew102 (4959) - - JAN 1, 2019UPDATED: JAN 1, 2019 Can. Biscuity malt aroma with notes of grassy hops and a little bit of honey. Pours clear pale golden colored with a thin white head that has little retention and decent lacing. Starts with biscuity malt and honey flavors. Finishes crisp, clean and refreshing with some grassy hop flavors. A nice lager, but has nothing to make it stand out.
Jerm719 (240) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - DEC 4, 2018UPDATED: DEC 4, 2018 Well balanced. Grainy, semi-sweet malts. Mild earthy hops. Grassy, biscuits, mild cream corn. Medium finish. Pretty good lager but for $10/ 6pk there are 100s of better options.
ttoadee (3175) - Austin, Texas, USA - NOV 25, 2018Extra pale yellow pour, thin white head. Nose is sweet malt. Middle is lightly kilned malt, appke, hint honeydew, light herbal bitterness. Finish is leans a touch sweet, but dries as it goes some.
GTAEgeek (4660) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 11, 2018Sample from a can at ACBF. Pours a clear, pale, golden color, with a big, frothy, white head. The aroma is dust, corn, pine, wheat, and sawdust. Sweet and malty, with a strange bitterness. Light body, with a crisp, sticky palate. Well made, but nothing special.
Ernest (9030) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 26, 2018Can (Sep 17, 2018 canning).

Body is light yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), lightly hoppy (herbs), with a note of DMS.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky/unclean.
Medium body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation.
Avery Brewing is not what it once was, sadly; Out of Bounds was an "always stocked" beer (despite my complaints about a lot of their other beers, they always had that one as their saving grace, just as Great Divide still does to this day for the standard version of Yeti), up until a year or two ago when it turned into an overly sweet, flabby, chocolate syrup clunker that I've been unable to find a drinkable batch of since (although admittedly I rarely bother to try single bottles/cans of it anymore). And most of their beers are gimmicky overpriced "beer bro" things anymore anyway. But then I saw this and thought, what the heck...it could be a nice German Helles sorta beer, who knows? But alas, this is a macro swill style lager, with obvious (downright prominent!) DMS stink and little else...there's not much hop aroma to cover up the cooked cauliflower-and-corn odor. And the rough malt character doesn't help either. The mouthfeel is nice for the style, but that's about all it has going for it. It's hard to guess if this is all intentional or not (maybe they DID try to make a Coors clone here?), but it may not matter at this point.
drfabulous (14226) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - OCT 25, 2018Draught at The Beer Trappe. Super light yellow pour with light malt and grassy very floral hoppy notes. Very good.
ajnepple (12995) - Lakewood, CO, Colorado, USA - OCT 25, 2018On tap at the brewery. Clear golden appearance with a white head. Aroma of toasted grain, bread/biscuit and light citrusy notes. Similar flavor, adding mild sweetness and light sweetness. Light and crisp with ample carbonation and a smooth finish. Nicely done.
