chinhaez (155) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - OCT 31, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2021 Bottle. 2016 Vintage. Roan brown pour with minimal head that quickly vanishes. Aroma of pumpkin spices; nutmeg, clove, allspice, and cinnamon. There is a bit of oak barreling in the aroma too, but it doesn't come across as a bourbon barrel like the label says, its more like a dark rum barrel. The taste mirrors the aroma--spices, rum like booze, some chocolates, vanilla, brown sugar and rich malts. The spices are applied with a deft hand and do not overpower the concoction. That gives this drink a complex layering. The palate is full viscous and a bit oily. Overall. Had this in a DeMolen tulip glass for breakfast on Halloween and it worked very well. Love a good beer buzz early in the morning. This is really a slow sipping cordial. Paired well with some Gouda and walnuts.

AWISLguy (5965) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 19, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 19, 2021 On tap at Champps in Brookfield as 2015 Avery Pump[KY]n. Aroma has sweet & roasted malts, barrel, nutmeg and spices. Nice nose! Taste is similar, quite smooth. ABV shows a bit. The sweetness of the porter a nice choice. Barrel and pumpkin are only components, to the net positive. Medium to full bodied, with an alcohol presence, the blend is good. Finishes sweet and roasty, with spicy tangy. Big good body. Enjoyed this! 15.8

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2021 12oz bottle. 2014 vintage. Dark brown, flat pour. Aroma is boozy, pumpkin, sweet. Even boozier in the taste, sweet, woody, pumpkin, brown sugar. Still great after 6 years.

blipp (13335) - California, USA - JUL 19, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 19, 2020 Bottle. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Rich malts and bourbon, some pumpkin spice, a little chocolate, plenty of boozy notes, and a sweet finish. This is a bit much, but still pretty good.

zoucrew102 (4959) - - NOV 28, 2019
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2019 Bottle, 2014 vintage. Pumpkin spice aroma of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and allspice as well as having notes of vanilla, caramel, pumpkin, oak, bourbon and booze. Pours deep brown with a thin tan head that has good retention and some lacing. Starts with with caramel, pumpkin, oak and vanilla flavors as well as having a rich, full body and slick smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with the flavors of the aforementioned pumpkin spices, bourbon and a fairly heavy amount of warming booze. Great pre-thanksgiving beer.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2019 355ml bottle via trade, thanks Arturo, Bottled Nov 7, 2015, checking at 15%.

PhillyCraft (11988) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 12, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 12, 2019 Bottle, black color with a small brown head and not much lace. Nose and flavor of pumpkin, bourbon, nutmeg, yams, vanilla, and molasses. Medium to fuller mouthfeel with a boozy finish. Small doses since its a whopping 16.5 percent

Bitterbill (2959) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - MAY 27, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 27, 2019 I bought a Howler of it at Liquor Shed. $25. It pours a dark brown with reddish hues, small head of foam that shrinks quickly to a ring around the glass. No lacing. Smells of pumpkin spices, mostly nutmeg, Bourbon, sweet malt, plenty of alcohol. Nothing remotely bitter here. The taste is not as boozy but there's plenty of warming. Pumpkin spices are working overtime, Bourbon is front and center, wee bit of chocolate and dark fruit, hot. I was told that this was aged 3 years. I can't imagine what it was like fresh. Fullish bodied, light but not low carbonation. Sipping good. This will finish my drinking for today.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2019 2014 bottle shared with Andrew and Dallas. Pours a deep brownish body with soft lace. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with notes of bourbon, spice, wet wood and oak. Pretty hot on the palate.
