COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“The union of wheaty freshness and dark malt often produces a fullness of taste and complexity”, explains the world-famous English beer commentator Michael Jackson. This also applies to the Ayinger Urweisse, which is a strong amber-colored, yeast cloudy wheat beer. The beer is strong with the first taste and malty in aroma. The top-fermented, yeasty taste sensation is unmistakable. This beer is rich in sparkle and has just a touch of a special bitter quality. The fruity, malty mild aroma will have you won you over immediately! 13.3°

Botrytis (294) - Illmitz, AUSTRIA - DEC 12, 2021

UriahHeep (311) - Georgia, USA - DEC 4, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 4, 2021 Deep murky amber, big carbonation, thick white pillowy head. Aroma of clove banana and nutmeg. Hint of bitter dank. Skunky and spicy, good wheat and yeast flavor profile. For me the skunk notes in the aroma were hard to ignore. Clean and tasty. Medium body. Good spicy yeast flavors. Not wild about this style but Ayinger does it as well as one could hope for.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2021 Draft @ Ayinger Braustuberl. Murky golden/amber-ish colour, big creamy beige head. Super fluffy and creamy, sweetish but not overly, banana, apricot, light acidity - perfect balance. Huge body, superb fluffy full mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

bilcho1 (1487) - Ruse, BULGARIA - AUG 23, 2021
UPDATED: AUG 23, 2021 500ml bottle, drunk at home on a windy August evening. Thickly hazy amber, plenty of head and lacing. Aromas of stewed apricots, ripe banana, honey, husky grains. In the mouth, thick frothy carbonation, rich complex flavours that follow the aromas, some softening sweetness, scarcely a sour hint into a clean mildly bitter finish. Like a Weizen with a flavour boost and what's not to like about that?
