UPDATED: OCT 21, 2021 500 ml can. Pours a clear copper color with moderate head. Aromas of wet biscuity malts and light fruity trail mix. Flavors of biscuity/ toasty malts and a bit of copper. Not much there though not offensive. A beer to be pounded down at a pub when flavor doesn't really matter.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2021 Liquide doré transparent avec mousse abondante et légère. Nez pommes, poires et biscuits. En bouche, c'est très biscuits et céréales sucrées avec une touche d'amertume. Pas terrible du tout !!!

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2021 Poured from 500ml bottle at 5.0% abv. Aroma: Light biscuity/toast malt, slight citrus hops, pear and apple notes. Appearance: Mostly clear, light golden beer with very slight haze, moderate carbonation, small white head. Taste: Some grains and light malt, light bitter and spicy hop, otherwise dominated by fruit flavours: pear and apple plus dried fruits (sultana, apricot etc). Clean bitterness at the start but quite sweet. Mouthfeel: Medium body and medium carbonation, pretty standard for real ale but more syrupy than most. Overall: Decent ale, moderately sweet with light sour and bitterness. The pale colour, fruit flavours, citrus and straw hops and lighter malts would make me hesitate to class this as a premium bitter, it's closer in character to a typical golden ale.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2021 Bottle from Wine Rack. Pours a clear golden colour with a thin soapy looking white head. Aromas of biscuits and toasty bread. Taste is again very biscuity, more toasty bread, a touch of caramel and a touch of spice. Earthy hop finish. Medium body with a smooth oily mouthfeel. Ok but a bit boring and bland.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2021 0.5l bottle. Many thanks to Lore for another MJ500 rating. Clear golden body with a white head. Pears dominate the aroma, but I also get some grainy malts, cardboard a tiny bit of floral hops. Taste of grains, pears, apples and floral hops. There is a bit of sourness in the finish that is not so nice. Otherwise it's fine.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2021 500ml can. Pours with a thin head. Golden orange colour. Little aroma. Fruitcake taste, sweet, caramel , malt , orange peel , and mild hops. A little sweet but not bad when served very cold on a hot summers day

UPDATED: APR 6, 2021 From 440ml can. Golden standard ale colour, moderate head. A strong aroma of fusty malt and pear cider. Taste- As aroma but with a charcoal burnt fruit note, almost like a stout. This end note is not nice at all. Like all Badger ales, it is extremely buttery, strange and sweet in texture with nasty mouthfeel. I do not know why their beers all taste like this. I remember one a few years ago called Golden Glory, it was revolting with a kind of Mango and Vomit mixed with butter taste. They discontinued a lot of their beers recently, including firkin fox, first call, bladford fly and golden glory. Drinkers will not keep drinking this rubbish. I think all the beers I had from Badger end up Drain Poured. In terms of pub casks, Badger and Wadworth unfortunately dominate the south central area and neither are very enjoyable breweries. The best craft brewers all seem to be in the North and Scotland and they dont get much sent down here. Southern regional brewers need some competition.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2021 Bottle of 50cl, in the Badger Pint glass; from the fridge. Very refreshing and enjoyable blond beer. White head and nice carbonation. Aroma and taste of sweet malts, not too heavy on the bitter side.
