UPDATED: DEC 23, 2020 12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/9/2020. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluff off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, red apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, red apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, red apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish; not overly aggressive. Feels like Hallertau Blanc and Nelson Sauvin. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive Midwest style example as expected of the brewery.

Tap at Baffin. Awesome aroma of dank hops, juicy citrus, pineapple, and flowers. Tastes great too. All the aromas come through in the juicy malt. Getting a slight hint of bubblegum too. Nice mouthfeel that’s a little grainy but works nicely. I have to compare this to Kuhnhenn DRIPA and it holds up incredibly. Tastes like a clone and may actually be better. I’d love to try them side by side.
