RSRIZZO (2264) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 1, 201812oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 39. Color is a hazy golden with medium carbonation and a thin white head. Aroma is sweet with a mild fruit note. It has a medium body with a crisp mouth feel. Flavor, wow the habanero jumps right out over a light malt backbone and a touch of hops spice then a mild bitterness. In the aftertaste the habanero hangs on with a spicy bite and in the background a hint of sweetness shows. Overall I think it's very well done, I done get the habanero in the aroma but it comes out in the flavor and is nicely balanced.
edgallow (5017) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 27, 2018Draft pours amber with a white head. Aroma of peppers, citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is more heat then I was expecting but the bitterness was a good balance.
bapzaroni (12) - - APR 16, 2018UPDATED: APR 16, 2018 I thought this would end up being the equivalent of drinking flaming hot Cheetos. Turns out it’s as addicting and refined as your New Mexican grandma’s red enchiladas. She’ll just tell you to keep eating, so I kept drinking.
hitemwitthehein (69) - - FEB 13, 2018UPDATED: FEB 13, 2018 ABV - 7.0.
.Appearance: Hazy golden yellow, full white head.
.Aroma: West coast IPA, very tropical. Notes of mango, pineapple, pine. Subtle malt qualities in the scent as well. There is a slight hint of pepper buried somewhere, hard to pin point it.
.Taste: Upfront it has the qualities of a good juicy, citrusy IPA. Definitely getting mango and pine. The heat kicks in almost immediately, building and ultimately lingering on the tongue and mouth. The hop bitterness and spice play off each other perfectly. Nice balance.
.Mouthfeel: Lighter side of medium in terms of body, with a medium carbonation that is spot on for this specific beer. Very drinkable, but again a good amount of heat.
.Overall: A-
.Bottom Line: Wow. It is certainly spicy, but just enough to keep you coming back for more. Underneath all that heat happens to be a very tasty IPA. Some might say the spice from the habanero actually takes away from the delicious flavor, rather than enhance it. I say it's good the way it is.
alex_leit (13033) - Minsk, BELARUS - FEB 11, 2018Bottle. Golden color, white foam. Aroma: like the old IPA, nectar and fruits. Taste: sharp, nectar, sweet, burning chili, very warming and hot beer.
