COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This new IPA rises above the rest. We’ve developed many IPA recipes in our R&D program, but right from the tank, our Manta Ray Double IPA was a winner. Aromas of fresh, citrusy tangerine, melon and light pine leap from the beer and linger over a smooth finish. Like its namesake, this brew can sneak up on you – a big beer without a bite.

mkel07 (9526) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 17, 2020
UPDATED: OCT 17, 2020 On tap at Brewhouse Brisbane on 16 October 2020. I believe that this is my first Ballast Point Brewing beer on tap - I’ve had a few bottles and cans but never a draft. What better to have than this imperial IPA. Solid looking beer in the glass with a deep amber colour and a spongey head of white foam. A mix of pine, melon and citrus in the flavour. Not a beer that I would think was 8.5% ABV if I didn’t know as it holds the alcohol well.

Beerwithwings (3008) - Alton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - SEP 29, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 29, 2020 Bottle at home. The beer poured clear. This to me seem like it was an old school style beer. It was sticky, resinous and bitter. Nice but not just not what I wanted

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2020 Bottle. Golden pour, slightly hazy, with a white head. Citrus hops, grapefruit, bread, pine, moderately bitter, and light caramel. Not bad, but not an exciting DIPA either.

yann28 (1233) - - MAR 31, 2020
