UPDATED: JAN 1, 2021 Bottle. Dark brown color edging on black. Opaque. Brown head. Bourbon aroma. Wood. Vanilla, chocolate. Flavor is dark malt, wood, strong bourbon notes. Dark fruit. Strong. Pretty high bitterness. Strong warmth.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2020 2018 vintage. About a 1 inch thick light brown head of fine bubbles. Strong roasted aroma with some coffee, vanilla bean, toasted marshmallow, bittersweet chocolate, raisins and burnt toast. Color is basically black. Rich flavor dominated by roasted grains and burnt toast. distinct toasted marshmallows, mild coffee and dates. Moderate alcohol presence and warming. On the sweeter side. Lingering burnt toast and some ash textures and flavors. A pretty solid imperial porter.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2020 12 oz bottle. Nearly black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, very dark chocolate, molasses, vanilla, earth, and booze. Complexity of the aroma there in the flavors. Even a bit spicy. Bourbon apparent. Rich and somewhat boozy. Silky with some carbonation.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2020 12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, beige head, over a clear dark brown (SRM 40, nose is barrel, with bourbon, roasted malts, slight fruit tones......taste is slightly sweet with roasted malt and bourbon barrel presence.....mouth feel, medium body, alcohol, moderate carbonation. This is an utterly delicious and drinkable Porter which is Imperial Flavored with lovely aroma.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2020 0,33l bottle from 2017. Pours black with a tanned head. Roasted malt and coffee, along with nice bourbon and vanilla. To me this is just the right amount of barrel aroma. Sweet and bitter. Very nice.
