COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Golden Sorghum Lager will appeal to beer drinkers who prefer the lighter taste of lagers produced by the major brewers, such as Anheuser-Busch, Coors, Miller, and Heineken. This ale has a light crisp taste to meet the thirst quenching requirements of the lager style while still having enough body to interest the ale drinker during the spring and summer seasons. This beer has low bitterness and a subtle but pleasant hop aroma that will gently caress the senses.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2020 DATE: March 28, 2020.... OCCASION: two weeks into the COVID-19 quarantine, still (mostly) gluten-free, I measure a beer shared by my Coors Light-loving friend Billy... GLASSWARE: 22oz. pilsner... pours a tawny, sallow, champagne-tinged body with active effervescence... its head does the usual malt-free disappearing act, though its bubbles continue to rise and disperse at the weight of air... really not appealing in this light... immediate sorghum, hard fruits like apple, banana and pear, candied sugars, cosmetic counter perfume overload and a base solvency... nothing really alluring here, unless you dig cider or sorghum... its first sip is dry, thin, nearly lifeless (watery) and without fanfare... a late bubble in the throat may suggest its intentions, but it doesn't muster much beyond a thin rinse... I turn to Billy, and his reaction suggest Coors Light has not been approximated... the flavor is constantly ebbing, with faint hints of berry, apple, sorghum, cheerio, and bubblegum fluttering in and out of the picture, elusively if not frustratingly so... its singular profile doesn't leave much else to say, so I end with a simple disclaimer: if you have already enjoyed malted beer in any form, there's no need to dance with this one.... if you are a Celiac sufferer, maybe these will grow on you... all the same, cider might be a better option...

UPDATED: APR 28, 2018 After being diagnosed with Celiac I had a hard time finding a gluten free beer that I liked. Bards is by far the best gluten free beer I have ever had.

The beer pours a translucent metallic gold colour with absolutely no head. The aroma is light fruits, fresh paint, and grains. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour is light fruits, honey, and grains. Very sharp on the tongue. Glad this was in the singles bin because I wouldn't want to drink 6.

I have tried every gluten free beer and this is the only one that truly tastes like regular beer.

12 ounce bottle. Brassy gold color. Brief bubbly white head. Light fruity nose. Flavor is reminiscent of apple cider. Slightly tart. Thin bodied with notes of apple and pear. No hops at all.

Bottle just for the brewery tick. I’ve had worse gluten free beers, for sure. Clear bright orange pour with minor head. Kinda fruity.

Bard’s Gold: It tastes like a combination of sparkling raspberry juice, heavily diluted vodka and sugar-free tapioca pudding mix.

A good option for gluten free beer enthusiasts. Slight after-taste, but enjoyable none-the-less

Bottle from beer club. Pours copper with a small light head. A slightly sour and crisp taste with a small amount of carbonation. Not bad could set down and drink a few. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
