neongolden (3888) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 9, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2022 (473ml can from the brewery webshop c/o Luc, thanks!) Pours somewhat hazy orange-gold with a decent white head that lingers with lace. Aroma of papaya, melon, lime peel, soft grapefruit, bready cereals, creamy but a bit weak overall. Flavour follows, soft papaya/melon, floral, lime and grapefruit peels, grass, softly biscuity malt but very dry on the whole, finish is very mild with lingering papaya/melon, clean yeast, very low bitterness despite the dry body, short aftertaste. Medium-plus bodied, oily, soft carbonation. Extremely mild for BdBC (or Wood Bros) and lacks pop, both cans I had were the same so not a dud. Quality brewers mean there are no defects in the beer but disappointing after the exceptional original Timber.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2022 Good from the Wood Brothers contribution. Smooth bitterness. Tropical hop aroma and taste. Not overwhelming palate erasure.

Tasting at Matt's slaughterhouse, can
Murky pale blond colour. Very nice aroma, explosion of tropical fruits. Lean moutfeel, very limited residual sweetness, a bit of oat creaminess, salty, and big tropical hops.
Excellent.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2021 16oz (thx, Eric D. for proxying) @ Matt's parents' place with a scenic view that was hidden by curtains this time. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: juicy, some car exhausts (thx, Riwaka!), tropical fruits. Taste: along the same lines, juicy, a bit astringent. Overall: good one.

Oakes (26757) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 16, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2021 Yellow, opaque. There's a bunch of pineapple on the nose, soft papaya, some canteloupe. I like the mellow, soft malt character. I am happy, the balance is really good.

mcberko (34280) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 16, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2021 473mL can, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out a wonderful NZ hop character -- lots of tangy white wine character -- and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bright and tangy, with lots of white wine tanginess, gentle dankness, some tropical fruit, and just enough crisp biscuity malt. Lots of white wine tang from the Riwaka, and tropical fruits from the Mosaic. Vibrant and well-rounded. Excellent.
