DijkBier (2262) - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - DEC 25, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2021 Last one, #24 of Beery Xmas'21. Pitch black pour with frothy brown head, sparkling down to tiny proportions. Strong aroma of sweet chocolate (both dark and milk chocolate) and caramel, with a faint mocca element. Taste is very full, fully sweet, chocolate, vanilla, lacto, with a mild and short dark-bitter coffee-like finish, and maybe but hardly noticeable a tiny salty twist. Very full body, thick feel, boozy/alcoholic; soft carbo, but the alcohol brings another feel on the tongue. Wow, this intense brew combines heavy chocolate with alcohol; truly a dessert on its own. A great ending of this year's Beery Xmas.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2021 24-12-2021; can; at the Swedish house (bought at Saveur Bière, #24 of Beery Christmas 2021). The looks of the beer are nice. It is a super dark brew, jus the way I like it. The beer is absolutely pitch black. Not even the slightest amount of light goes trough it. On top a nice layer of frothy brown foam is formed. Foam retention is rather low. A thin drape remains on top of the beer. All I all, great looks. The aroma of the beer is incredible. Great beer to end the 2022 Beery Christmas. Mals give amazing aromas of roast and toast. There are loads of chocolate and vanilla, tonka bean and loads of coffee. The coffee aroma is very intense and natural. There are some nice notes of vanilla too, together with some delicate notes of caramel and toffee. So rich. Hops aren't the main ingredient here. They just give some earthy and herbal notes. The yeast might give just a smoothing fruity touch. The taste of the beer is lovely. It is filled with some nice malty sweetness, but also some toasty savory notes and some toasty bitters. The hops give some more bitterness. All in all, the beer is balanced near to perfection. The mouthfeel of the beer is very nice. It is a full bodied beer, with a texture smooth as silk. The carbonation is medium-low. The alcohol gives the beer warmth and makes it extra smooth. The finish is filled with loads and loads of delicious aromas. Chocolate, vanilla, tonka bean, coffee, caramel. All is there, lasting for decades. This is that kind of beer you wish you find more often. Dark, intense, aromatic and brewed to perfection. Definitively one of the beter Stouts I've had. But what else can you expect from Beery Christmas #24, brewed by Basqueland Brewing Project.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2021 Beer 24 from the Beer Hawk Advent Calendar. Aroma has distinct salted caramel and rich coffee with a boozy punch. Dark and inky. Foamy tan head. Medium bitter coffee with a sweet creamy caramel with a salt lick. Boozy bitter edge. Thick bodied. Oily. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Luxuriant Christmas Eve beer. Yum.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2021 Yeah, thanks beery Christmas for this years outstanding box! And to close off with this last beer it was a pleasure. The last beer dat brown with brownish firm head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate dominate together with warming vanilla. Tasted with a crème brûlé, in one word delicious! Well balanced in the sweets and sour / bitterness.
