UPDATED: DEC 28, 2021 35cl Blik van Beer Republic. Licht mistig goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Hars, citrus, wat grapefruit, citrusschil, caramel, wat dennen, super oldskool en bitter en daarom alleen al fantastisch. Glad mondgevoel, medium body. Top.

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2021 #12 Beer Republic advent calendar. 355ml can. Unclear golden, big fluffy head. Lots of resin and pine, grapefruit zest, stinging herbal hops, cough syrup, maple syrup, pine honey, skunk. Hoppy herbal bitterness, malty sweetness. Full bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, intense hoppy bitter finish. A very hop-focused, intense and resinous West Coast IPA, really good!

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2021 In der Nase Frucht und Wald, im Trunk erdig, Pinien, harzig, spät bitter, ganz okay. Endlich mal wieder kein Frucht-IPA.

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2021 Poured from 473mL can (bb 09/11/21). Hazy golden orange with off-white head. Fairly malty, mild citrus hops, touch of tropical, and a bit of resin on the finish. Would probably be great fresh, but this can is a bit old.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2021 DATE: July 10, 2021... OCCASION: settling in for a comfortable evening after a long, enjoyable lake trip--why not unwind with a classic?... GLASSWARE : Maudite snifter... this pours a beautiful, glowing orange amber body alive with effervescence... its two-finger head is white and staunch, settling to a lacy ring... robust resin and pine, pineapple, lime and mango... hard fruits mix with thick malts to produce an aromatic balance to the hops--an aggressive yet controlled offering... a bit boozy too, but not at all intrusive or off-putting... active, lively at its introduction, strong in its presence and lasting in its finish... its citrus and resin shine here, bright and thick, puckerish and chewy... the grapefruit especially resounds in each sip, thick and appreciable... big, bold fruits make this worth returning to, a classic that is accessible, both in stores and in profile...

Arbitrage411 (73) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 3, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2021 White merengue like head on a medium cloudy gold pour. Even striation of single and separately spaced bubbles. Lacing stays on the glass like milk does on the upper lip. Super fresh hop when you put your nose in the glass, a fragrance untethered to the non-craft beer experience. Then a super bitterness straight away with the first taste. That hop yeast punch in the back of the tongue strategically placed there by the brew master. The abv content slowly picks up. Again an outdoors in the countryside woods aromatic mixed with a restrained but numerous IBU’s on the palate that stop short of excess. The taste grows on you, this “acquired taste”. The finish stays on the mind as well as a tingling on the taste buds. Happy with this selection.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2021 Hazy gold with a very thin head. Medium fizzy body with lots of hop bitterness overwhelming the malt. Typical hop bitterness and aroma of floral, pine and citrus. Sweet underwhelming finish.

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2021 Citrus floral scent, very pleasant. Color is a light amber. Taste is bitter right from the start then smooths out a bit. I'm tasting citrus, line fresh grass and floral. Finishes dry and crisp with a light caramel and woody malt. Very good tasting and balanced ipa.
